One of the items sent to storage was a video tape of a TV Movie called 'Fatal Vision'It was made in 1984.It is a true story concerning a case in America which has some striking similarities to the Bamber case.I wonder if this movie was shown on British television shortly before the murders and played any role in the murders? Did it provide inspiration or ideas?Let's discuss!
Films are not shown the following year are they? Unless it was a film made for television and not for the cinema. What time of the year in 1984 was it finished? Is the film available to watch? I will google....Vic there were many crime movies and thrillers out back then......Evil Dead being one of them and the Texas Chainsaw Massacre....Boxing gloves are on sale at JJB....lol
The clue is in the term 'TV Movie'.... lolI believe it was shown a few weeks before the murders.I am well aware of many crime movies, but not many with a 3.30am call to the police, informing them that someone was attacking his family, and he himself became the lead suspect. Slogans carved in wood, 'pigs' rather than 'I hate this place' and several other similarities...
Including a MacDonald.
Blond moment! lol Vic the "I hate this place" was carved into the door well before the murders according to Collin C. How can anyone remember that being shown a few weeks before the murders? Don't tell me, Ann put it in her notebook lolol Sorry, but even she would smile at that... Hey! I do get tired you know...lol
Patti, I'm so pleased you've clarified the scratching of "I hate this place" It has been suggested on several occasions that Jeremy did it in between the shootings. I imagine that any carpenter worth his salt could say if it had been scratched recently or not.
food for thought Lookout....
Vic on a serious note. To think that Jeremy was inspired by this movie is a bit outrageous in my opinion. There is no proof he ever watched it or that it influenced him...Its pure speculation! :D :D :D :D
I am curious rather than accusing. It does seem strange that it was part of the storage items.
Patti,,it may well have influenced someone else though.! Jeremy must have been a pushover when it came to putting words into his mouth. He didn't get out often enough.
