Susan,,you should have seen the Adonis who waited for me outside a supermarket in Cyprus. He was too beautiful to be a man,,6ft,dark and with a pony-tail. Apparently,he'd watched me going in with my friends, and waited until we came out. We were having a bbq that night and had been buying beers and we had duty-free champers,so I invited him.
I'd already volunteered to do the cooking,,large pieces of steak with our salad. My eyes were watering with all the smoke and I looked like Alice Cooper as the mascara had run down,,but because I made him laugh,,he didn't run away, and wanted to come back with me.
I've had some wonderful" adventures".There's life in the old dog yet.!

I have my own list of ways to prove definitively whether Jeremy Bamber is innocent or guilty, but I put them in the back of my mind as we are still largely a Christian country..

Are you suggesting torture? What an odd thing to say!

(bloody predictive text!)

I imagine our Steve to be an eccentric really,Caroline,,rather than a product of a scary movie.

Perhaps Lookout, but advocating torture (when you regularly write about rehabilitation) is a bit strange and what kind of torture - a ducking stool perhaps? Or thumb screws? Or why not go the who hog and enlist the use of an Iron Maiden? That's the implement of torture, not the band - although .....

OK
Some interesting responses but I think my point was missed
My point is that if we want to know the truth we can, and there is enough evidence to prove what actually happened that night.

The bottom line is that Essex Police with the help of the government in the form of an PII certificate is hiding the truth from you, which means the government, and the police force put public image before Justice.

We are supposed to live in a free and open society one that tries to reduce corruption and crime and learns from its mistakes.

If the Saville story was not exposed then I guess it could happen again but having it out in the open reduces the chances of it happing again.

So I know if Shelia was alive in the house then probably many of the firearms team would of seen something and as the pii came into force around the time of the COLP investigation into things it probably means that the cover up involves many people.

OK this will be damaging but how else do we learn from the mistakes we make?

Painful but its really the only option for a modern society

Your thoughts please

Prime example is presently the debacle over Norman Bettison, who put his own reputation before others, concerning Hillsborough, and in doing so,disregarded the need for a transparent referral to the IPCC. This was found out by the police watchdog committee. He wanted to do it his way.!
This man abused and exploited his position as a" top cop "so is it any wonder that others follow in his footsteps to save their own skins, when they see their " chief " acting this way.?

See the story of the guy in the States who was released after serving 42 years.? Innocent.! No compenation, poor chap.
