Hello april  if Julie had prior knowledge that Jeremy was going to kill his family first and foremost she could have prevented the tragedy. Even if Jeremy like he did according to steve played school boy games and mess about saying these things to shock people but no intention of carrying out the threats.  Surely when she went to the mortuary to identify the two little boys she knew he was not messing about yet she carried on sleeping with him why not go to the police straight away one would have thought the awful sight of the two children shot in the head would have knocked her for six and I can understand her saying then she could not bear Jeremy to touch her.

Susan hi. I, too, can fully understand a woman who says she can't bear to be touched by a certain man. What I CAN'T understand is why she would become angry because she thought she wouldn't be going on holiday with him during which she would be forced to share with him a room, if not a bed.

Hi april

Julie's behaviour drives me to distraction to the point that I think she is devoid of any moral integrity.Had she thought Jeremy had carried out the murders even after the Trial she would have been heartbroken and sad that the love of her life had committed such atrocities.  But no she was smiling and posing outside the Court room whilst he was led off to serve a full life sentence.  I just cannot understand the woman had he not dumped her she would have been Mrs Bamber now perhaps.

Without a shadow of doubt, Susan.

A very good and valid point Susan.

Hi Ralf

thanks for your comments.  From the onset I think one was as bad as the other and Jeremy Bambers moral integrity left a lot to be desired.  I have wondered if she expected him to walk free and I also think he expected to walk free and had that been the case he would have got the huge payout and I assume her nothing.  Very complex matter.  Still find it difficult to work out who did commit the murders at WHF.

Well, I think this is one of the reasons why she told Liz Rimmington her tale. Jeremy told Liz Rimmington that he had no intention of marrying Julie. He said it may have been a possibility before the tragedy but that after the deaths, everything had changed. I would dare bet that M's Rimmington mentioned the conversation to her friend. How peeved would Julie have been to hear that news from the very friend that Jeremy had previously two timed her with?

You bet she would. In a heartbeat. She could luxuriate in feelings of guilt later.

It wouldn't be the first time such things have happened. The alternative is that she is telling the truth and Jeremy is guilty. I know what I believe.

It seems that Julie cast doubt on Jeremy's ability to father a child!!!!! It begs the question was Ms Mugford doing her damnedest to get pregnant because it's only under those circumstances that fertility/sterility can be ascertained. So why would this career girl, in her very early 20's, be thinking of getting pregnant and what made her think that Jeremy, not much older, would want to be a father? I know Steve has said he wanted a baby with Suzette Ford, he was probably enjoying practicing, but why would a married woman, 10 yrs his senior, with 3 or 4 children already, want to start a baby with an immature boy. I rather suspect that whilst Mrs Ford may have told him a baby would be lovely, she was taking steps to ensure it didn't happen.

I hadn't heard that she was trying to get pregnant but there is only one reason I can think of!!

Caroline, I've just read it in Wilkes' book. I THINK she said it in court. Having read how her story took on a life of its own, I started to wonder about histrionic personality disorder. I made interesting reading. I knew someone with it. Invererate liar. Had to be centre of attention at all times. Oversexualized everything she could. Made mountains out of nothing. It was ages before I realized what was wrong about her. The worst thing was how convincing she was.
