I believe he is remorseful too and devastated about what happened; but a man like this is dangerous. His love of guns....
He fired a gun in a restaurant, I think it was into the ground under the table. When he realized what he had done and thought about the consequences, he persuaded a friend who was there with him to take the blame - because it would harm him, the famlus Oscar Pistorius!
What does that say about him!

P.S. He got a new girlfriend rather quickly after the murder....

Alias, I have a feeling that his parents have overcompensated all his life for his birth deficiency and as a result he's been overindulged resulting in a belief that whatever he does will be excused OR someone else will take the blame for his actions.

Alias did not realise he got a new girlfriend.  Saw woman outside the Court room giving him hugs and flowers not appropriate in my opinion.

He has fans - I don´t think that was his girlfriend. She is nineteen, he met her ten months after he had shot Reeva. I wonder how her parents feel about her dating a 27 year old on trial for murdering his then girlfriend??
It is said that she has been in the courtroom from time to time during the trial. I wonder how that makes REEVA´S family feel.
Have to say that her mother and other relatives have been so incredibly dignified and CLASSY through all of this. They are a credit to Reeva.

Probably. I can also see that he may feel vulnerable and suffer from inferiority complex because of his missing legs - but that just makes him more dangerous in combination with his general mindset!

Hi Roch

I ask myself why did Dewani take his wife to one of the most dangerous areas people know to avoid such places.  I think he is guilty. :'(
A friend who knows Cape Town really well has told me she is surprised that Dewani took his wife to eat where they did that night.  It isn't really an area you would expect them to be visiting even before they went into the township.
I thought he was guilty til I saw the Panorama programme, am definitely leaning to innocent now.

Hello Maggie think he is guilty of course because he shot her but do I think it was premeditated no I think he is a control freak with mental issues.

I'd agree with that Susan, i think he lost it - I'm sure he regrets what happened but not enough to tell the truth.

Can't see him surviving too long in prison.

Well, it will be an odd situation for him but he does seems to have a lot of support - he may even get off?

Guilty! 100%. You'd have to be blind to not see it IMO. His defence is all over the place. It makes no sense.

Reeva didn't scream after the first shot? You fire through a bathroom door at a thief....without knowing where your girlfriend is?  ::)

It's been picked apart point by point by one of the most ferocious prosecution attourneys I've ever seen.

Oh I agree and am surprised by the support he seems to have. If he does get off, it will be a travesty!

Me too... I can only assume they haven't watched the case/read about the case... and are just going off the fact he is a youn, good looking disabled athlete and giving him the benefit of the doubt.

I wonder what a thief would be doing in a bathroom? Stealing the soap? Unless of course the bathroom window opened onto the fire escape?

I worry a little bit about the prosecutor having come down on OP too severely. I also worry about the sarcastic tone he had during most of his procedings. I know that juries can be put off by such conduct, not sure about a single judge.
She seems to "baby" OP from time to time though, asking if he is feeling well, if he needs a break (a little nappy) - so she has some sympathy for him. I don´t think he will get off entirely, but I worry that he will get a light sentence.
Could he kill again? I think he could, beware, present and future girlfriends!

I feel that PART of the problem is that for most of his life, he's "got away with" too much, much too often and on those occasions when his needs haven't immediately been met, has thrown a hissy fit until they have been. If this turns out to be another of those occasions, I believe he could do it again.

Another brat,,but I think this'll teach him not to try anything like this again. A lesson well and truly learned.
