The Rettendon Murders
« on: February 02, 2013, 12:51:PM »
Last night I watched the film "The Rise of the Footsoldier". The story of Carlton Leach who lost three of his friends in the the Rettendon murders on December 6th 1995. I am also waiting for the book Carlton Leach to come through. No doubt there will me additional information in that?
The film is an extremely violent film and personally I found it very hard to feel any sympathy for the three men murdered. The thought that went through my mind was that those who live violent lives often die violent deaths.

Lugg I have seen crime scene photos of them and not nice to look at.  Let me know if the book is worth reading... ;)

These were/are really hard men. It won't pay to get too close to them. Not the sort of friends I'd choose to mix with. Mind you, if they say they're going to do something they'll do it. They'd destroy idiots like Lamberton without blinking an eyelid if he crossed any one of them.

Hmm, that's interesting Tyler. Yes I'm waiting for it to come through. Both my sons seem to know a lot about the Rettendon murders. Must say I don't know much about Carlton Leach.

No they don't. Personally (I may be wrong of course? ) But I think mit was a cops take down. It happened just after the Leah Betts tragedy. Her father was a member of the police drugs squad. I believe the cops took these guys out and that gave them the opportunity to get others off the street as well. But as they say, that is only my opinion and is obviously wrong. ;) ::)

Their crime scene photographs are on-line and make for very grim viewing indeed.
