For the benefit of non locals, the point I am making here, is that RB lived 30 miles from WHF, so I am curious as to what locals Grahame refers as informing him of what RB used to call Bamber.

RB never lived, or worked anywhere near WHF.

He may have lived that far away but he still knew the Bambers. You should know surely that all farmers knew one another and were nearly all members of the Essex Farmers and young Essex Farmers even if they lived the other side of the Crouch they all met and knew each other. I don't know why you are contending this Vic. It was very well known. Why is everyone suddenly denying it? I thought it was universally accepted that RWB used this term?

I said "I'm not an idiot Campion"

  I have pondered his question, and am glad to confirm in the affirmative.

I'm glad you can make sense of that. I've never been able to decypher campion senior's posts myself.
