Ralph's pyjama,s
« on: January 02, 2013, 02:39:PM »
I have been re reading about the pyjama,s that he had on that dreadful night.
It has been assumed that the pyjama bottoms had been pulled down to humiliate Ralph in some way.
This got me thinking [at last] that perhaps the bottoms were not pulled down at all.
We have all been wondering how Ralph got burnt on the back without any marks on the pyjama top.
I would suggest that he did not have it on at the time. There were no bullet holes in the sleeve, and there should have been as he was shot there. there were no bullet holes in the pyjama,s at all.
It is possible that rather than undressing Ralph an attempt had been made to dress him.
The pyjama top would have reasonably easy to do, but the bottoms would have been a bit of problem as he would needed to be lifted to fit the bottoms properly. This was likely to have been impossible so the bottoms were left around his knees.
I realise that at some stage Ralph would have had to have been naked, but I sleep in the buff.
Your thoughts please.

Hi Buddy Happy New Year.  Do you want my thoughts on you sleeping in the buff prefer to keep those to myself.  Now on a serious note you could have a point about the pyjama's as I never thought the bottoms were pulled down to humiliate him at all and the burn marks on his back were direct onto the skin.  It is possible that an attempt was made to dress him.  Do we know if he had slippers and socks on.He could have still been in his shirt and pants and they were disposed of in the Aga do you know if the pyjama's were very blood stained.

Happy new year Susan. I think some socks were beside Sheila's body that were too big for her, they were more than likely to have been Ralph,s.
It was never mentioned that Ralph,s pyjamas were blooded, or holed.

Hi Buddy wonder if it is documented anywhere that his PJ's were blood stained or indeed had bullet holes through them.  Perhaps one of the other members will know i.e. Patti when she comes on or Caroline.  I shall ask around it could be a good point you have made Buddy.

I think it is something we have nevered considered before Susan. If Ralph was seated then it would be difficult to remove the pyjama bottoms, and equally difficult to put on. Of course EP could have done this when they were up to there pranks.

Hi Buddy  I think it is a really good point as you said it would be difficult to get the PJ's past his ankles if he was not helping and sitting down.  If we knew he was in his day clothes this would tell us more about the time he went to bed unless like you he slept naked.  I suppose if you are woken up with a strange noise you would not hang about putting on clothes perhaps somebody put his PH's on to spare him the humiliation they thought he would endure if found naked. Patti and Caroline will be the ones to ask.  It is food for thought.  steve will have his theories on this I am sure.

Hi Buddy, I think you make some interesting points. NB was hit in the left shoulder and left arm, thus being that there had to be at least two holes in his pajamas's.  Oddly enough, there would have also have been burn marks on the back of his pajama's....

Of course, it could have been that he had his sleeves rolled up, but on saying that there still would heve been a hole on the shoulder of his top....People could easily say that the PJ's were were pulled down and his back were burnt....But looking at it again, it seems unlikely that the top was on if there were no holes in them at all......

I can't find any evidence that suggest that there were holes in them on not???????????  I wonder if there is anyway we could find out?   :) :) :) :)

who rolls up on there PJ's Patti. It was quite a cold night considering it was August.
It was after all a suggestion, and not fact. I will keep my beak out now.

I meant his sleeves could have been rolled up....I was thinking out loud Buddy, that this is what some people would think....However, on the photo's the sleeves are quiet long and appear not to be rolled up at all.....Bring that beak back in...lol  :) :) :) :)
