I know people who have but not me personally. For clarification I am talking about normal Essex Police officers (some retired) who were not directly involved in the case at the time themselves. It is very strange that it is the one case that Essex Police would rather it went away for ever - the best way they could do this is disclose all the information. We'd then all be happy! Me either way as I just want justice in a transparent way - sounds simple but so far it appears too much to ask.

Others on this site will report the same findings about Essex Police's attitude when this case comes up for discussion. Anyone else care to report their experiences?

It's Freddie. He gave evidence - at the trial I think, or it could have been Sheila's inquest.

I'll check this out.

The excerpt I saw was 'neutral'.

Freddie is mentioned in various parts of this forum, especially here.

Note from Freddie's statement that Sheila's 'violent behaviour' was verbal and self-directed.

During deeply delusional episodes she would not allow anyone to touch her, but did she hit out at anyone either.

Notice that her speech was slow - one of the side effects of her prescribed injection, like impaired motor skills.

The main reason that I think Jeremy is completely innocent of these killings is that he simply isn't someone who appears capable of doing them or of killing his entire family by any method, whereas Sheila, given her history of serious mental illness, could have been. A secondary reason is that I simply don't buy that Nevill's body was mistaken for a woman's body by the police, and then (by a series of coincidences) various radio messages corresponded to exactly what would be expected if both Nevill and Sheila were initially discovered in the kitchen, etc.
