It appears so but more with experts so that could mean geologists in searching for desturbed ground to mediums(yes that may sound far fetched but i bet their close to using them) to help direct them. The 100's of officers must have been scaled back by now., I again find it rather strange that from very early on they submitted the prospect of never finding her!!

I wonder if they are still allowed to question him?  I'm sure they must have enough evidence to stick,...but what that evidence is we don't know......I just hope they have it right, because if they haven't then???

The problem is that under interview after your charged is that anything you say is only going to go against you so why make it easier for the authorities.

Im still concerned that someone with enough evidence against them should be charged with so many counts!why don't all people convicted of murder not be charged with perverting the course of justice as even by fleeing the are by definition doing just that.

He is innocent until proved guilty but surely we are just trying to understand the implications around those actions already undertaken by the police. I aint seen anything by anyone stating he has did this Steph.

That is what we are saying. I think the most of us are in the same frame of mind.

I'd like to see the police argue their way out about the fact they were looking for a white/silver car type van and suddenly it turned dark blue......?

I'm already at the stage where I fear for this man's ability to have a fair trial at all, let alone in wales itself is impossible. I feel that certain things have been done out of order and they have already been trying to cover themsleves here when we have his identity spread about the press where they back track stating that they didn't want this to  happen.

Thats the problem Steph there are too many instances very early on that mirror what has happened in various MoJ case's. We can watch this unfold with educated eyes here and it aint looking pretty.

He 'should' be innocent until he has been proven otherwise - but whilst there are people who continue to speculate as opposed doing something that will make a difference to the way in which cases like this are reported on etc... he's guilty until proven innocent at the mo.. imo

I know where your coming from here but I don't think "should" be substituted for is not guilty.

What about the white van in Simon's case? The police were still looking for that in the same month he was arrested - 7 months after the murder!!

Surely the defence will examine this in court Steph? How can care/vans change colour....The police never mentioned a dark blur range rover....as far as they were concerned it was white/silver or light in colour....

Police also announced his name and press splashed all his family names all over the paper....Who released all that? I suspect the police did.....

I agree there ought to be a well balanced discussion and enough evidence for a conviction, prior to a trial...but at this stage we don't know what that evidence is....until it goes to trial....

I get the sense also that Patti feels that nothing that has happened would have if they didn't have something to go on and I understand that. Its just when we discuss case's that follow the same path its easier to see where things are going and for all the wrong reasons.

Its hard to make any informed post on this subject until we have something to go on but the lack of press leaks or anything of any substance is concerning to me.

I know the police are going to continue looking for her " body " into the New Year. Nothing else has been mentioned regarding finding any evidence.

Hi Lookout.....I agree. I also feel that the police are in much need of a break through....I do hope the find her....and soon....At this stage like Madeleine there is no proof that she is not with us....

someone is leaking tiny bits of oncoabreated and apparently incriminating information and i can only assume the police are behind it
