In different circumstances Julie may well have been an accessory before the fact, and I think this may have been Jeremy's motive for keeping in touch with her as he did. Remember he first tried to drug his parents with some of Julie's pills..so much the better for Jeremy if Julie was in it up to her neck, don't you see?

Not really but I'm willing to listen.  That's enough for tonight though.

That was Julie Mugfords story but theres no proof. She also said he fed cannabis to rats to make them dopey so he could strangle them but rats dont have receptors for cannabis . Any effect that it may have had would be hyperactivity. So that was a lie.

Intriguing point Maggie. But it would only have been a lie if Jeremy actually knew rats didn't have receptors for cannabis. Did you know before you looked it up?

No but she said it made them dopey and it couldnt have. This is also contrary to Ralph always saying Jeremy was a 'nancy boy' who couldnt kill anything. The picture's just all wrong steve imho. goodnight.

That's an interesting comment maggie and I assume it's in one of the four books made about the case. Was it possibly Roger Wilkes' Blood Relations by any chance? Of course one cannot always trust these authors on their veracity but it would explain the savage beating Jeremy meted out to his father.

I dont believe it was from a book but was knownu within the family. Idont believe it was an accusation but more an affectionate politically incorrect remark from  a father about his son. I believe he was saying that Jeremy was a soft person....nothing to be ashamed of but hardly a description of a visciius killer. I havent read any of the books as I am more interested in facts....few as there are than someone elses inrpretation and biased opinion.

Yes Steve, Jeremy Bamber clearly had a long history of escalating violence.  The warning signs were there but went unheeded.  One thing is clear, it was very clever of him to use a .22 weapon, enabling a much higher risk of resistance among his victims, with a resulting prolonged episode in the farmhouse and more opportunities for his plan to go wrong.

Was there a more appropriate weapon available?

Bridget, what are you talking about, there were guns all over that house.  I'm sure also if Jeremy had coldy planned this crime he caould have rustled up a more precise and clinical shooter. :o

Which gun in that house would have been more appropriate then, in your opinion?
