All I want to say is that I admire Jackie, Keira, ngb, Roche and also Mertol and that you all might find it within you to look at these things sensibly. You are all vital to this forum as far as I can see. and are the backbone of it. These are the times when we must stand together and get rid of any kind of suspicion regarding one another. This is in your hands and nobody else's. Please endeavour to get it sorted. I am very sad about this. We need Jackie back.

Thanks for your thoughts, Grahame.

This forum doesn't stand or fall on the contribution of one individual.

Yes Jackie has been very supportive of JB and has done some invaluable work raising the profile of the case and getting people like ngb and Simon McKay involved and helped out to get the documentary transmitted.

However in terms of actual debate on this forum, it is clear that Jackie fell out with and upset a number of posters, myself included and she certainly made a number of nasty posts attacking various people. I know she has suffered numerous attacks on the other forum which are indefensible, but I was shocked by the nastiness of some of Jackie's responses which further fuelled the fire and just made things worse in my opinion.

Surely the focus of the forum should not be on debating the validity of Jackie's ban, or saying that we miss her or are going to leave if she is not reinstated. That's just an idiotic reaction in my opinion. Other than the mods none of us know what happened or why Jackie was banned so we should trust in the integrity of the mods that they have made the correct decision.

Instead, we should focus on why we are all here, which is to debate / discuss JB, his case and the probable / possible miscarriage of justice he has suffered.

We can debate this case forever, however nothing will change because we go round and round in circles debating.  Jackie is a passionate, loyal and particular person.  OK so she is totally politically incorrect at times, she doesn't mince her words and will not back down.  Jackie is hated because she has done so much more than anyone else except maybe Mike to support and forward Jeremy's case.  It's a shame that some people's ego's are more important than supporting Jeremy and getting him out of jail.  I think it's a shameful decision.  The tragedy is none of you see what your'e doing, surely the question is do you want Jeremy Bamber out of prison or do you want to sit on this forum for the next goodness knows how many years having a social occasion, playing music and generally having a fun time.  Meanwhile Jeremy is still in prison, you can congratulate yourselves for getting rid of the thorn in your side....but Jeremy will still be in prison. imho.

Maggie, people will naturally let off steam one way or the other.  There were no viable, alternative options to a ban, given the circs.  There is no celebration on the part of the mods, more like sober reflection to be honest.   Jackie conducted a highly effective twitter campaign, raising awareness and bringing quality professionals in to the fray.  Nobody can take that away from her.  But there have other issues leading up to the ban.

Petey, feelings will run high.  It's best to not take things personally.

Well petey, thanks for that.  Wasn't anything to do with you personally and I'm not 'digging' at anyone just stating what I feel.  I thought that was my rght.i

No one is congratulating themselves, Mags, I believe most people are feeling quite sombre, as Roch has said. But there was no alternative.

I'm glad it wasn't aimed at me, so I will take back that your post was complete rubbish.

I disagree with you when you say it is a shameful decision to ban Jackie tho. You or I don't know the full background and issues relating to the ban. I personally am therefore fully prepared to accept the decision of ngb, Keira and Rochford and not challenge their integrity. I find it hard to understand why you are not prepared to do this!

We have a right to disagree, that's cool.  Well, I have my reasons to say what I say.

You are strictly correct petey. Of course you are. But me being me I tend to look at things differently and care more about one individual friend sometimes instead of a group who are inuted together. Because in a way this forum is dependent upon certain individuals and I believe that Jackie is one of those individuals. She is going through a tough time at the moment and a lot of it has nothing to do with this forum. But that which she is going through does unfortunately affect her reactions to some things on the forum. I believe we should all be supportive of her even if we feel that she has overreacted to some people. Someone said they wanted to know about Jesus on here today. Well we read this of him,
Quote
Then came Peter to him, and said , Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? Jesus saith to him, I say not unto you, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.
