Apolgogy accepted Lugg and I too apologise to you, Lookout and Maggie and any other poster if I have ever been offensive.

Maggie is it possible that you could to do a post about Scott Lomax's book please?  It's the only book I haven't read re the case as I understand it is very biased towards JB being innocent?
Thanks for the apology NN, all forgotten. Am willing to lend you the book if you would like to read it plus Rough Justice by Tim Healey which is a personal story of the area, including
his own take on WHF murders. :) I understand you may  not want to give me your address but
the offer's there if you would like to take it up. Back later.

Evil, Almost Beyond Belief? by Scott Lomax

It's a while since I read this, I always avoided books on the White House Farm Murders because I believed they were biased for or against Jeremy and didn't particualarly stick to the facts.

Personally, I found it easy to read and although I already knew many of the facts and theories it did hold my attention.  For anyone who has read the archives on this forum there is little you wouldn't have already read but because it's a relatively new book, published in 2008, it does include the more recent evidence which is examined in depth.  Lomax spent a great deal of time discussing Jeremy's feeings about the case during the time he was working on the book but personally, I didn't find it biased. The facts were presented and the reader was left to make up their own mind.    There are a few mistakes where Lomax gets his facts wrong but generally it's pretty accurate and everything is explained and discussed in depth.

It's difficult to know whether someone who considered Jeremy guilty might find the book biased mainly because Jeremy Bambers opinions are included in the book and it's really up to the individual as to whether they find that ok or not. To my mind it was an easy read with clearly laid out facts which are discussed in depth....I enjoyed it and my daughter who knew nothing about the case found it an interesting read and is now a convinced supporter of Jeremy Bamber's MOJ claim.

None of the books on the case maggie paint jeremy in a good light, they are all negative to him, that said they have to be to sell.

Hi Maggie, good review by the way. I have to say that I think it was biased but I think Lomax believes Jeremy to be innocent and as such, it's difficult  for him to keep his prejudices from creeping in. I do however, think he has tried to be as fair as possible and most of the relevant facts are there - and it's very easy to read.

Well yes maybe if I had read it again I may have noticed it more but need to get it back from my daughter.  To be fair to Lomax he presented the facts in an unbiased way but maybe I was giving him a bit of the benefit of the doubt. However, I don't believe it was his intention to mislead.

I have read the book and I really so no serious bias in it. In fact he seems to face up to and point out many difficulties withing the case. More than could be said for the other books on the subject. On those we of course have a daily review in the posts of Steve-uk. So you can judge for yourself just how biased those books are.
