It isn't nice issuing bans.  ngb has favoured moderating with a light touch  At times people have virtually demanded bans on others.  A accuses C, who is mates with B, who then accuses D, who accuses A, who is doesn't like B, who has now fell out with C but will be friends with C next week

Jackie has fallen out with a few people including me a couple of times. But I do urge her to apologise to Keira who is totally innocent of any wrong doing.

Yes,Jackies attack on Keira made for very uncomfortable viewing indeed.It was,quite frankly,disgusting! It appeared to me that Jackie felt betrayed and was angry and when Jackie is angry,she,like many of us, lashes out.Unfortunately,through her anger,she couldnt see what Mat's intentions were and took the bait.Im sure that when she has calmed down,she will apologise to Keira.

I agree tyler, his one aim was to cause as much trouble as he possibly could and boy did he succeed.  Like you, I wish his ban was permanent, he had certain people in his sights and you could watch him go for them, step back try again.  He was quite good but not good enough.  He'll come back and cause trouble again.

I don't often send pms but have sent them to several of the people who have been involved in these various arguments. In defence of Mat, he was always friendly and helpful, he joined around the same time I did and I thought he had a rough ride some times. I have sent pms to Keira and I found her to again be very friendly, helpful and nice. I sent one or two to Rochford and a few to Grahame both of whom I found thoroughly welcoming, encouraging and helpful. I don't believe I have ever pmd Jackie but have engaged in dialogue on the open forum and have found her to be very knowledgeable and helpful. All of these people, in my opinion as a new member, have a wealth of knowledge and intelligence and if only the debate didn't become an arguement this could be great(er) forum! I'll get off my soapbox, sorry.

How long is a temporary ban? Mat may well be back and I don't think that is a bad thing, would it be possible to talk to those parties involved before they rejoin to try and get a fresh start? I understand some people on her dislike him and there are some very frank posts in his absence but if he gets another chance maybe we could all try not to judge him by these incidents in a hope that it doesn't happen again. A three strikes and you're out approach as it were

He was insinuating that Keira was behaving in a certain way with him.  It all came from mat and his manipulating to make it appear keira was on his side and plotting with him against jackie which obviously upset jackie because she thought keira was her friend and she had betrayed her.  Keira just got caught up in his scheming. :

Yes maggie I agree with everything you say. But Jackie did say some very damning things about Keira all the same. We must all be responsible for our own actions even if were are goaded on by others. I hope they both sort this out between themselves. They are both adults after all.

I do agree with what you have said Rochford. But at the same time one should be able to identify when there is a deliberate attempt by one or some to create discord in the forum. That I admit is not always easy to do. And don't I know it the amount of enemies I made during my time as admin. No one can always be prepared for it. Just try to do the right thing.

I for one am totally behind Keira, and do not believe in any wrongdoing. I have found Keira most helpful.
She is a very knowledgeable person.
It unkind to attack her in this way.

Me too,Keira is lovely!
Mat well and truly abused Keiras kindness and totally stitched her up.He clearly intended for Keira and Jackie to fall out.Im sick to death of reading him threatening people with lawsuits.He is a trouble maker and a liar and its just a shame his ban isnt permanent
