Yeah, I was of the understanding too that the aga wasn't something you simply turned on and off.
No, it isn't Mat. The friend who runs hers constantly has an oil fired model. Another friend has a much more up to date gas fired model and a helpful guy to come and turn it off and she then heats the water with by immersion heater and cooks on a gas cooker which is in her garage!!!! Yet another friend has wood burning Aga and an electric cooker standing beside it!!!!! Just between us, I can't help wondering if they're more trouble than they're worth...................but they do cook food beautifully
