The problem with ackowledging people like this is that it gives them more attention. Without that link being posted I would nothave heard of him or been none the wiser!

That's true, but now that the link has been posted, I wanted to respond to it.

Steve Battram appears to have a fixation on guilt. Has the abuse he says he suffered as a child left him with an obsession with declaring prisoners who are fighting for the right to Appeals to be guilty? That's how it seems to me. He seems to want everyone to be guilty!

Battram claims to be a crime writer: has anyone seen these books he claims to have written? Battram appears to have little or no real knowledge of the cases on which he proclaims his instant judgements. He seems to base his views solely on his own, highly perverse prejudices. Most of Battram's odd views seem to be based on highly questionable and unproven anecdotal experiences that Battram claims to have had with the prisoners concerned. Yet did her ever really know any of these people? Battram appears unable to substantiate his various claims.

I think Battram's a menace. he is all over the internet attempting to prevent prisoners from being allowed the Appeals they deserve. Battram, for example declared Eddie Gilfoyle to be guilty!
Oh another nutter. Please direct him to the L forum. He's be at home there. I wonder why crooks always look like crooks? ::)

I quite agree but sometimes is easier said than done.

I agree, Neil. Battram says he wants to protect women and children from abusers. I would not feel at all secure if Battram was protecting me! This guilt fixation is most odd.
Wow! A bit like asking Hitler to be a guardian of a synagogue.

Sorry, I didn't mean to seem critical. I joined this forum because it was the first that I found. At the weekend I was just looking around and found some worryingly spiteful and malicious comments about a lot of people on here and was rather shocked. I don't see the attraction to malign and criticse people. Ultimately I am just interested in the case, unfortunately it attracts people like this and also unfortunately, I wasn't surprised by the decision made today.

Oh believe me a lot of us have been the subjects of vile abuse from others including death threats by some. Tell you the truth I wasn't completely surprised myself about the decision. You can verify this by looking at my other posts. It is a shame that our law is run by those who are more interested in the niceties of the law rather than true justice. I would not trust one member of that CCRC panel as far as I could throw them.

Is it not true that Ewen Smith is on there or have I made that up?

I considered leaving the forum when I saw that stuff I have to say, they were very personal attacks on people, I won't go further as I don't want to give it the time of day, suffice to say that I think there is good cross section on here. Some people have what  i think are slightly wild theories but they are entitled to them and who knows, they could well be true, that's the point of the debate!

I'm also considering leaving. I could add so much. But already the messages I've had private and on the open board make me wonder why I should bother with this site.

It's a shame when one feels like that. I haven't had any negative private messages to be fair (and have only had two in total) but then I am neither for or against, I merely want to be better informed. (not that I am suggesting you are any different)

Mat I worked you out earlier today you are either Anne or David and if you think things are over you couldn't be more wrong
What doesn't kill you makes you stronger and the truth will come out drip by drip

You couldn't resist coming on today and after reading all your posts you have a particular hatred of me but that's understandable

Oh I suppose you read Simons already got started on the judicial review

I would never be friends with people like you two anyway

Can we please stop this?

I am neither Anne, nor David. If I was a family member  I would be so disguested with how you're speaking to me. you seen to thimk I am someone who had 5 members of their family killed - yet you still speak to me like I am a terrible person. How dare you.

Please can an admin (or a mod if a mod can do it) look at my I.P and confirm I live nowhere near the family and that I am not a family member and I am not someone who has had an account on these forums before.

I for one would be very sorry to see you go.  It's nice to have a bit of balance on here and you seem alright to me.

I think so too Neil.....It is good that we have someone who thinks Jeremy is guilty......we are all adults here....but I wont join in any arguments. I like fair and open discussion...:)
