Thank you for your kind words, Jackie, but I am not of any importance. I will give you my opinion, but as a mere campaigner, albeit a seasoned one who has fought a number of successful campaigns.
In a word, I believe the answer to what's lacking in Jeremy's campaign are unity and resolve.
Some years ago I tried to persuade the people of my community to oppose a small development which was so clearly just the first stage of future major development. At that time, when this plan was in its infancy, we could so easily have stopped the subsequent major development in its tracks. Yet few in my local community would accept the need to fight such an apparently small proposal. We were apathetic and we lacked unity.
You know the old saying, 'cometh the moment...? The time has to be right. I had tried to start a campaign at the wrong time. I wonder if now might be the wrong time for Jeremy's campaign too? That's hard to consider I know when Jeremy has been locked up for so many years. I do fear that he may have to wait a year or two longer.
Yet nothing is static for ever. Recent proposals for a much larger development have now changed everything here. My community has united as never before and we're fighting our socks off to stop this together. It took a great shock to wake us up here, I do hope I'm wrong and the same isn't true of Jeremy's campaign.
