daughter has gone beserk, and has one of the guns  beserk is clearly start point here not the gun,so we are all satisfied Sheila was fine , sane , and no mental issues at all ?

Didn't JB's assertion re the telephone call from his father do that Jackie? His evidence of this call means it can only be Sheila (if he's telling the truth) or Jeremy himself (if he is lying). It can't be anyone else, other than perhaps someone JB himself has arranged to do it if he was indeed lying.

Guilty camp = Nothing else matter but the sequence and content of phone calls.

Innocent camp = Nothing else matters but the incident between Sheila and raid police.

That's not really fair Rochford. I didn't say nothing else matters, the phone logs unfortunately do not determine the matter one way or another, whichever side of the fence you sit on, as they are not conclusive either way. However, they do kinda narrow down the possibilities don't they? The standard telephone technology available now (and not long after the incident in reality) would likely have sorted this one way or the other, and therefore the logs would likely have been compelling evidence at the original trial, as indeed they may in a future appeal depending on the content re the witheld docs/destroyed tapes etc.

Can I ask locals in Essex, is berserk a common term used by Joe public there? I say this, because berserk is commonly used by police offices in communications to convey the gravity of a situation quickly (I am not a police officer). I rarely hear it in day to day speech. Would Neville have likely used this term?

Thanks for posting the info Jackie. I am not convinced that the second log is not just relaying the content of the first call to another, therefore I guess I am saying that at the moment I don't think Neville called the police. I am not sure I can learn any more about the logs at the moment but I will be very interested in the additional info relating to the calls in the appeal (amongst other things of course!).

Sorry, I'll just add that I didn't jump to that conclusion just on reading Jackie's post. I have read quite a lot of info on the call logs before and have read many opinions on them, including the appeal and many many threads on here.

You may have misunderstood my post.  I was giving my rough interpretation of the difference between either 'camp'.  Nothing more.

Yeah, sorry Roch, should have realised that, didn't mean to sound accusing or anything :)

Interesting area of the case though and looking forward to seeing this aspect of the appeal and the response.

I think the log said, "Dughter gone berserk. Got hold of one of MY guns" Which puts a whole different slant on the interpretation of the whole log.

The pictures of Sheila on the floor are clearly unpleasant to view but looking at her face what can you see ?
