So Julia Jeapes claims to see a what appears to be a rifle leaning against a window.
As a firearms officer she would know what a rifle looks like so would be less prone to error on this issue than a lay person.
Its accepted the curtains for this bedroom window were open so light level to make an observation would have been better than for a darkened room.
It is the missing information that is of interest. In regards to this room she does not state either way whether the light was on or off. Another bit of key information is as to whether the window was open or not.
As her attention was drawn to this window by her claimed sighting of what appeared to be a rifle the issues not clarified gain importance and suggest there may be some deception going in within the police accounts.
Bewes, Myall and JB all seem to fail to mention the window being open....which if it was and was thus different from other windows we would expect them to comment upon. They were not far enough away to not be able to ascertain whether it was open or not. No one claims to have opened the bedroom window further so if it was open it can be assumed to be as pictured which was of an observable amount.
The claims that the bedroom window was open by the firearms team that entered the room may well be false. Like in the kitchen the window may have been opened to allow the smell of a recently discharged firearm to disperse.
