Rough Justice was a programme produced and aired by the state broadcaster.  Very different from JB's scattergun approach of attempting to deal with anyone who cares to listen most of whom have a living to earn and advertisers, editors and publishers to appease.

Can remember when I first got dial up must have been 2001, saw JBs website around this time. He was on the net early doors.

It would be unfair to JB in fairness to call his approach scattergun. He's if he's innocent had to play the hand he was dealt the best he can. Anybody who will listen when you spend your days on the landings of a CAT A and live in restricted surroundings is a godsend.  Whilst I may criticise his CT I will always afford him a little bit of leniency due to the circumstances he is in.

Heidi Blake did actually do some work for her podcasts - tracking down Nick Milbank. But a lot of the "journalism" around the case is just acting as PR for Bamber and the CT with no accompanying analysis.

HB probably understands the breadth of the case but not the depth.  If she did she wouldn't be beating the drum about the late Nick Milbank/999 call unless of course she is being disingenous and/or needing to appease her editor by justifying time spent etc.  I don't think there was much 'tracking down', he appeared in many public records.  But I did admire the fact she turned up at the homes of the Eatons and Boutflours putting them on the spot  8)

DB is probably the weakest link.  He often sounds emotional.  He has commented about JM not saying anything in the early stages.  He knows he didn't find the silencer in the state he later claimed.  It appears there is now no love lost between the Boutflours and Eatons.  DB commented to David James-Smith he could not understand how AE lives at WHF.  DB was (is?) religious.  He lost his son at 13 yoa in tragic circumstances.  This might prey on his mind as pay back for his sin in perjuring himself at JB's trial.

Don Hale editor of the Matlock Mercury, Bakewell tart murder.

I actually believe Stephen Downing was guilty.

Yes this worked well in the era but JB's scattgun approach in an era of rampant SM and 24 hour news doesn't.

But much of it is counter productive:

JB engaged with Bob Woffinden, Paul Harrison and Carol Ann Lee.  He thought they were all going to champion his cause.  He was wrong.

Phillip is now relying on the aledged 999 call. This has already had a PSOR. So he is relying on the Millbank audio overturning it.

Phillip says from reading books he thought it was 'an unsafe conviction'. My intro to the case was Wilkes which made me believe he was guilty.

MWT mentions the suicide note which no one has seen.

Supporters contradict themselves with the suicide note.

They do not believe Sheila shot everyone in bed & Nevill got downstairs to ring Jeremy. This would support a suicide note being written prior to a pre meditated massacre.

They say there was an unplanned escalation in the kitchen. Sheila writing a suicide note after killing 4 people. Then keeping herself alive until the raid team entered.

None of the crime scene photos show a piece of paper. A suicide note is written to be read. Not to be hidden.

Supporters said it was in the bible. However the housekeeper said June used to put notes inside the bible. If it was in the bible it would have become common knowledge within hours Sheila had left a suicide note.

If you was JB how would you go about it?

Pretend she is guilty and drink four cans of special brew every night.

Conveniently they aren't allowing comments. The logs clearly explain what happend - this whole thing is madness.
