At the moment do not need to be a legal eagle to do this. CC has provided no new evidence!

I'd say it's a given. Murder/suicide. Done and dusted. Why hang on to the detritus? No need to keep it as a constant reminder to the family. Get rid asap. Which is exactly what happened.
