Why doesn't Lebanon man-up and realise that its own armed forces should be defending the country, not just Hizbollah?

The vast majority of Christians and Sunni Muslims that make up over 60% of the Lebanese population oppose Hezbollah and see it as a state within a state, provoking wars, dragging Lebanon into conflict and making a mockery of Lebanese sovereignty (and they are correct).

The Lebanese military are being deployed in southern Lebanon to help dismantle and disarm Hezbollah. You really should study and understand a conflict before forming an opinion on it.

Patriots can hit drones but are much less affective against ballistic missiles. Maybe they could hit cruise missiles though?
Bahrain's claims are clear fantasy regarding intercepts. The bases, radars and Patriot batteries have been doing a lot of the "intercepting". The evacuated and destroyed 5th fleet base at Manama is testament to this. Patriot interceptors are finite and expensive, drones not so much. It has been evident for some time now that the US/NATO military doctrine is still fighting the wars of the last century. We are one incident away from Carrier Strike Group obsolescence, in my view. The nearest Carrier over 1,100 km from the Iranian coast (USS Lincoln). USS Gerald Ford (the newest and most modern US carrier) is currently in dry dock in Split (Croatia) for who knows how long and clearly damaged way beyond the admitted claims. The resupply port for the fleet (Manama, Bahrain) destroyed and evacuated. Iran are systematically dismantling the means that facillitate the Naval and air dominance relied on to project US power.
Ground radars then AWACS planes were eliminated, removing the eyes and ears of the US. While Iran pummel bases and critical infrastructure of the military, the US target girl's schools, hospitals and universities. Hormuz remains in the firm grip of the IRGC and the US Navy daren't come any closer than 1,100 km and now Ansar Allah have re-entered the chat and will impose their will over the Bab al Mandab preventing US/Israel aligned shipping.
The trajectory of events is unmistakable. Many regimes in the Mid East were created and are propped up by Western military powers. The survival of these regimes is largely dependent on the western military presence and weapons. Currently at least 13 US bases are damaged/destroyed and evacuated. US personnel hiding in hotels among the civilian population. We have entered week 5 of the US 3 day war.  US assets are burning, they are being pushed out of the Middle East, their Carrier Strike groups offering very little  whilst Iran are escalating and hitting vital military infrastructure at will. The US are retreating as unrest and protests escalate in their Middle Eastern protectorates.
US claims of degrading Iran's missile launchers, arsenal and military are clearly fantasy as they resort to their usual terror tactics of targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure. The whole western/Zionist Imperial project has never looked so vulnerable, hence the fully mask off desperation now. The always hollow claims of humanitarianism are no longer even offered. Empire is disintegrating before our eyes, committing atrocities against civilians in their frustration as they are forced to retreat. The bases in the Mid East are gone for good. Cheap drones and missiles have rendered them obsolete, indefensible relics of a bygone era. These bases and protectorates are a vital component of maintaining Empire control and US dollar reserve currency status. The aggression against Iran has accelerated Empire's demise.
NATO, EU, Dollar reserve currency(and ergo US sanctions) will all be finished after this final fiasco.

There are many Christians and Sunnis in Lebanon who support the resistance because they understand that they are all that stands between Lebanese sovereignty or occupation by Israel. It is true that a majority of Sunnis and Christians oppose Hezbollah, however across all religions/ethnicities support for Hezbollah is in the majority. The Lebanese military is toothless and not seen as capable or willing to resist Israeli aggression. Hezbollah are neither toothless nor incapable/unwilling to resist. The majority of Lebanese recognise this.
It is worth noting that some of the Sunnis in Lebanon follow the Wahhabist extreme Sunni Islam of ISIS et al, who Hezbollah were fighting against, so not sure that those are alliances/bedfellows that you should welcome. The Phalangists (Maronite Christians and openly Fascist) are equally not supporters you should welcome. Look them up as part of your "study and understanding".  The Sunnis and Christians in Lebanon are not a unified monolith and many do not "support" Hezbollah but recognise their necessity. Others support them anyway despite the religious divide and some totally oppose them.

Your failure to see the writing on the wall doesn't negate the writing on the wall. Parallel payment systems are already in place and being used increasingly eating at dollar influence. The current crisis is a huge accelerant to that process. Dollar reserve status is on a one way trip downwards. I find it more baffling that you believe the current system will be maintained. The significance of current Empire wars to the world order as it currently stands cannot be overstated. The trajectory is clear to any objective view.

More LEGO from Iran..

https://youtu.be/nYGARHGkvFY?si=cFoAU3nSIiMVn6E5
Love the Lego videos. As an aside, the traction that things such as the Lego vids are getting is a demonstration of the fact that Iran is also winning the information war. Even amongst western populations Iran is largely seen as the defender and terms such as, Epstein's Fury, Paedophile coalition etc. are commonplace. The Lego videos deliver their message well.

Billions of Muslims trapped within a nasty ideology, ordinary Russians frightened to speak out, lest they be thrown from a fifth floor window, Chinese population worked to death in state factories, frightened to unionize lest they be sacked, their products dumped on Western markets, North Korean concentration camps. https://edition.cnn.com/2023/03/23/asia/north-korea-torture-prison-report-intl-hnk-dst

Your lazy propaganda is a demonstration of your shallow and unquestioning "thought processing". Just dissecting the bolded above shows how gullible and easy to propagandise that you are.

"Chinese population worked to death in state factories", says Steve. If you believe this, as I'm sure you are daft enough to, then you ought to gather a few facts to support this. If the Chinese are "worked to death" then you need to explain how it is that the average lifespan is around 79 (similar to UK) but the retirement age is 50/55 (women depending on blue/white collar work) and 60 for men. It would be easier to argue that UK/US workers are "worked to death".
Also as has been previously shown and proven, Huawei (the world's largest telecoms manufacturer) is wholly employee owned. The world's largest workers co-operative. Your myth about Chinese workers being worked to death in state factories falls apart on contact with facts that you can't even be arsed to check before repeating your lazy propaganda.
Percentage of workforce in a trade union- China 44%, UK 22%, US 10%. Nothing that you post stands up to one moment of scrutiny.
The rest of the post is equally lacking in insight and is just repeating what someone else said. You lack the nous and critical thinking ability to do anything else.

Worked to death was not meant to be taken literally; it was a turn of phrase. But your attitude on Huawei is naive. https://youtu.be/7gCSUK8fn8Q
