Bahrain are making some serious claims about what they have managed to intercept. If these are genuine, how are they managing to achieve this?
I have a soft spot for Tehran. Had a one night stand with a Tehran woman. She could not speak any English but in a nightclub actions speak louder than words. We went back to her hotel but the hotel porter would not let me in! So had to get a taxi back to my place.
See the Houthis have now become involved for the first time since the war started a month ago.Why do they all begin with H: Hamas, Hezbollah and Houthis with vowels as the second letter? Is this a linguistic thing or what? Maybe Steve knows?
Hezbollah translates simply as "Party of God". The "Houthis" call themselves Ansar Allah (Supporters of God). Houthis is a term used by western media. The founder of Ansar Allah is Hussein Al Houthi. HAMAS is an acronym of, "Harakat al-Muqawama al-Islamiyya" (Islamic Resistance Movement". It is only in English translations that they all begin with the same letter. There is also, as noted, no such thing as the "Houthis" as a resistance group. The official name "Ansar Allah" doesn't begin with "H".
They have their own Patriot SAMs.
Patriots can hit drones but are much less affective against ballistic missiles. Maybe they could hit cruise missiles though?
