We'll have to see if Baird backs them. A desktop review is no good. But without seeing the PSOR, we don't know investigations they made.

What they did by way of investigation was very limited indeed.

They are going to consider other issues.  They have dealt with the grounds in stages, but in reality they are clear they are not going to refer the case.
Thanks, ngb! That is indeed disappointing.

I believe you are correct.  Where have you seen this mentioned?

From JB's point of view, investigation would only be necessary if proof was not already in the CCRC submission.

No doubt a long staring into the night kind of night for Jeremy Bamber in his cell tonight.

Oh well, he may have to wait for justice to be served in the next world, ILB!
Of course, if guilty it would be justice for the victims rather, with Jeremy being sent down below to have a red hot poker inserted where the sun doesn't shine for eternity!

It is evidence but it is not direct evidence of events.  It is expert scientific evidence which could be admitted in evidence at trial.  It is therefore relevant.

On what scientific grounds? As far as we know it's a one man job. An authentic experiment has to be done like for like. That means not only Aga which has to be not only the same model, but the same height, using the same fuel and crucially, the same temperature. Do we actually have information about the temperature of the Bambers model? The human model would need to replicate Nevill  in height and weight,  maybe age, too. It would also have to be replicated by other scientists for authenticity. It's a known fact that experiments can be made to say what we want them to say.

If I may answer, Jane, I think you're being a little too scientific!
The main thing in my opinion is the spacings, this is what essentially ties the Aga to Nevills back!
Thats all we need to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that the cooker caused the burns.
The variation of the top mark being explained by Nevills head bent forward while against the apparatus,

He will never confess snow, he isn't the type of person to do so.

It says the PSOR is 101 pages. Which is 25 pages per ground. So sounds comprehensive.

But appreciate the CT will say it isn't.

Going by this there is not much left for the CCRC to look at.

The windows would have been checked by the defence in 1985.

Complaints against officers. When isn't the CT complaining about officers.

Inheritance. Yes everyone has known since 1985 the relatives would inherit upon his conviction.

You can get the bottle out then Adam.

I have, but I cannot post it.  All I will say is that it is not impressive. The attitude displayed is lamentable.  It is to be hoped that the new leadership at the CCRC will change the culture there.

Did you find the arguments in the CCRC submission in anyway compelling?

Probably about as compelling as your misuse of the word 'anyway'.
