Does anyone know what the Holmes Index is?

I am told by the Campaign Team that through the Holmes Index, they can identify a total of 14 (and they claim possibly more) Witness Statements allegedly made by Julie Mugford.

Simon Kelly of the Campaign Team states "Julie Mugford made 14 pre-trial statements. These were condensed down into 1 statement given at Jeremy’s trial. This is known as the “served” copy. This allowed the Prosecution to edit out anything they didn’t feel was helpful to their case. Only 8 of Julie Mugford’s statements have been released to Jeremy’s team. Despite requests for the remaining 6 statements to be disclosed (Holmes box references have been provided) the CCRC and Essex Police have failed to provide these to the defence. Is that justice, or obstruction of justice? I know what we think! If Essex Police have nothing to hide then disclose the statements! The other thing to consider is, why the CCRC have not sort disclosure of these statements? These are crucial to the case and should be disclosed. Mugford received immunity for her own crimes, so her testimony, more than most, needs to be scrutinised. Another example of how badly the system has let Jeremy down."

Thank you in advance.

Julie's 23 WS was submitted on the 9th September 85.

Assume this is the one the defence & Bamber had over a year to go through pre trial.

There is no reason for her to release any others. Except on unexpected things such as the cheque book fraud.

I suspect he and his legal team went through everything with a fine tooth comb with what was made available to them. It was a year like you say.

However disagree with you on the sea wall excersise you purport!

There may have been draft statements in the 24 hour period her 23 page WS was created.

There is only place the drafts went - in the bin.

Agree, a lot of fitting things together I suspect.

You can't fault people for being passionate about a cause they feel strongly about even though you are a " supposed hard-core guilter"

J'ulie Mugford made 14 pre-trial statements. These were condensed down into 1 statement given at Jeremy’s trial'

----------

The one WS given at Jeremy's trial was completed in 24 hours on the 8th September 1985. The defence would have had it over a year before the trial.

This is her 23 page WS dated 8/9/85. Completed 24 hours after she approached the police.

Dates, times, locations, people present, activities are 100% accurrate.

The bits the defence dispute are the discussions regarding the massacre. This is her word V his but the forensic and circumstantial evidence does support Julie.

This is Julie's WS on why she did not tell anyone what she knew until leaving Bamber on the 27th August.
