If yesterday you hated me. Then today you can not stop the love that binds from me to you. And you to me

I await results.
I'm trying to fathom out why it would take so long for anyone to come forward. Police retire earlier than the norm, so even a 20 something officer would have been retired, with his pay, a few years before he supposedly came forward. What would make someone " open up " about something that happened 40 years ago ?  I don't get it, nor do I get it that the police would do anyone a favour such as this.
Sceptical ?  yes, particularly at this stage of the conviction and after years of holding back.

Very sensible from you for a change.  Welcome back btw.

It's not a Bamber detective. And in any event, who on here can provide a list of police whistleblowers... ?

Well reasoned thoughts, Lookout. Shared, I imagine by supporters and detractors, alike. Welcome back can be taken as done and dusted  :))

Glad to see you back. You are a strong individual.

Some suggestions.

Has a terminal illness.
Was waiting for someone to die.
Is hedging their bets. Figures might get lesser sentence if coughs before CCRC ruling and his case is sent to COA.
Was not involved in case but was told what had happened by someone who was (Illegal to cover up a crime if you know of it)

Thankyou Bubo bubo.
I did think about various reasons, but decided against mentioning any as I'd rather wait and see what transpires, if ever, from the CCRC. Unless someone can produce new written evidence and not someone just saying they were there in whatever capacity, then it's just back to square one.

Any evidence at this stage will literally have to be set in stone.

Any evidence at this stage will literally have to be set in stone.

Something like a sworn Affidavit for example

Even in the very exceeding unlikely scenario that Bamber is released by the Court of Appeal, no-one will be prosecuted as a result.

Which is why, partly, I can't see this latest " find " coming to a head. No prosecutions, no CoA if you get my drift. I've learnt to accept that whatever appears as news is Pie in the Sky.

How can anyone be sure on either fronts?

It is in the lap of JB but if he keeps doing more of the same he can expect the same results.
