Chortle.

It's a tiny cottage, I can hear the landline ring whilst stood on the front garden.

Tiny cottage, quiet phone.

AE said it would take 2-3 minutes to get downstairs.

ILB have you been told by JB he had a AM?, apologies if I have missed a post where you have stated this?

I do find it very strange why the police never mentioned this at trial if he had one? It must obviously help him in some way? If Bamber rang his AM from WHF there maybe a way of detecting this on the tape even if it was latter erased? So the police kept it quiet who knows?

As for answering the phone if mine rings in the middle if the night I would be their in a blink.

You must have never 'slept like a log.'

J4J posted a video confirming he did have an AM.

I did create a thread you posted on.

J4J ? I have not seen evidence JB had a AM prior to the tragedy?

I don't read every post so may have missed it.

J4J is his own TikTok support group.

They say he had one but switched it off on the night.

Very unconvincing I know. But he has no choice but to say this.

NB owned Bourtree and would be able to phone the property from memory of his the phone number.

You are not making sense?!  You said NB would use a redial facility on a phone.  The only phone with a redial facility was taken away for repair on 6th Aug.

The AM is not incriminating at all, he could easily answer a phone call by being awoken and he quantified his practice was to switch it off when in.

The phones were pored over in AE's and JM's wit stats but not a word about an AM.  JB was interrogated during his police interviews about the phones but not a word about an AM.

Bamber says he had an AM, you just have to accept it.

No I do not have to accept it and I don't.

Well if Bamber had a AM why did the police keep it under raps?

They could have used this to back up the whole case for the Crown against Bamber?

Obviously there is something on those tapes that helps Bamber?

They did say he phoned GH. This may have been by using his AM.

Agree the prosecution should have insured the jury were aware he had an AM. It is very incriminating.

Well that's my point it's very incriminating (potentially) so why did they not mention this at trial?

There is something we don't know about the AM which helps Bamber?

Oh pleeeze...there is no smoking gun by way of a tape, video, documents or any other material.

The phone calls were pored over in great detail in the ws's of AE and JM, JB's police interviews and trial documents but not one word about an AM because it simply did not exist pre murders.

Whether you believe JB innocent or guilty he will not be a reliable witness circa 40 years later.  Even if he wants and believes he is telling the truth he is unreliable by virtue of what he has been through during the last 40 years.

The only way his AM will benefit him is if Nevill left a message on it.

He didn't.

That will not stop his totally delusional supporters believing that a AM tape exists with a message from NB on it!

Nevill ringing his AM at 3am would leave a shouty message trying to wake Bamber.

He would not just say 11 words or keep ringing.

He can say Nevill's message woke him. Espescially if true!

Bamber did not feel confident in ringing his own AM & pretending to be Nevill. Or believe he needed to.

ILB used to say Bamber saying he had switched his AM off would not be acceptable to him.

This was when he was in the 38 year safe haven of people disputing whether he had an AM on the night, or not.

Once the J4J video came out he said last month Bamber's claim is 'dodgy'.

He now says it is 'not incriminating' & wants the issue 'put to bed'.
