I don't agree there would be bike thieves on Pages Lane at 2am. As ILB suggested.

If there were obviously they would be wearing night vision goggles or using the ambient light and knowledge of the area.

You are a joke Adam, it's sad you cannot discuss the case seriously.

What are you doing which requires you to -

Wear head lights.

Hold 2/3 torches.

----------

Do you have more than 2 hands?

I have done a quick check. Seems night vision goggles were not readily available to purchase in 1985.

Residents of Goldhanger, 2am farmers, farmers in winter and nighttime bike thieves would be using the ambient light & area knowledge in 1985.

This is still the case now.  Throughout the world when there is no artificial lighting.

I can't say what I do Adam, but I have a head torch and several others torches which I use as and when I need them. When I say carry they are on my person not in my hands.

If I am in  a area of heavy light pollution and low cloud cover I don't need the more powerful torches so much. The same location and a clear sky can make a huge difference, now I would need torches more.

Rob is now saying he holds 'two or three torches'.  And headlights.

What's he doing painting a picture with his mouth?

Yes true!

Actually someone always turns up without a torch (you get people like Adam who think they can see in the dark!) so I carry a spare plus another as backup.

What are you doing with your torch. Reading, writing, making a protein drink?

Bamber would be doing none of these.

I use torches Adam believe it or not so I can see where I am going.

I don't have the luxury of waiting for 45 minutes for my night vision to kick in I have work to do.

A headlight? 3 torches, 45 minutes to get used to outside darkness.

I'm feeling like Superman.

No you are not Superman Adam you are just someone who posts about things which you have no experience or knowledge about.

You are flogging a dead horse Rob.

Apparently Bamber had every artificial light artifact that night.
