Guess the prosecution and defence were wrong then.

GG said once his eyes got used to the ambient light it was 'so easy to see'.

But you would not accept that.

Seems we are confused what the narrative is in its entirety.

The COA, prosecution, Lomax, saying he walked then cycled back.

You saying he cycled there and back.

Julie saying the bike came two days before. Bamber taking it back then recollecting it.

All the while 1985 astra sat on his driveway!

For me it is more important to get a video and photo of the route at night. I am more than happy that the terrain was perfectly adequate to cycle on.

The exception is the left turn around 300 yards before the prosecutions left turn. Would like to see that route in daylight.

COA:

132. The appellant agreed that his mother's bicycle had been at his home during the week before the killings.

COA:

The Prosecution Case at Trial 145. The prosecution case at trial was that the appellant, motivated by hatred and greed, had planned and carried out the killings. Having left White House Farm at about 10 p.m. on Tuesday 6 August 1985 he had returned by bicycle (taking a route which avoided the main roads) in the early hours of the following morning.

So why do the COA say that he walked then cycled back. As well as the prosecution Lomax etc

What you have stated there doesn't mean gospel that the bike was at the cottage on the evening of the massacre.

You said you believed he cycled both ways. To be fair, I also thought that was the allegation.

Julie says the bike was at the house.

Had he done a cycle trial run the Monday night before returning it?

But why would he if he was walking?

Bambers official page says it's alleged he walked then cycled back.

Need to know for certain the actual allegation. It's important.

For me the OS is wrong. May be an innocent mistake.

Yvonne was saying the bike was at his cottage before the massacre as Julie was using it to cycle to the bus station. Which was also wrong. Julie had never used it.

Is the DPP wrong ?

Is the COA wrong?

Is lomax wrong?

I can't recall what cal and Wilkes said

I will go by the prosecution stance. Julie's WS & testimony. Together with Bamber saying the bike was at Goldhanger pre massacre.

Together with common sense. No point in walking there and cycling back.

Uneven surface.

Hardy's video showed perfectly adequate terrain. On the Sea Wall.

The person was cycling it!
To be fair, that was about a couple of years back, the terrain could well have been different back then, he was on a mountain bike which was a Raliegh with wider tyres and suspension and Bamber was on a sit up and beg ladies bike with narrow tyres, i'm not saying it couldn't be done, but the road just seems a better option for me than risk that at night?

Best thing is to use a combination of now (video) & 1985 (Wilkinson's WS). Which says/shows it was possible to cycle The Sea Wall.

Three cycle route.options. ILB will confirm if there were 4 when he vists.

The quickest cycle route is via Head Street, Church Street & Maldon Road. Turning off at the Brook House Farm track.

This is 100% roads. Took Wilkinson 16 minutes. Suspect it would take Bamber 10 minutes going at a good pace.

Even ILB will agree he could cycle this route in the dark. Bamber drove that route to work every day!

The problem is he going past a lot of properties. Although silently and there was no street lighting.

Believe this is CAL's route. The prosecution believe he avoided the main roads.

Lots of options.

I will do more research.

Very important.

Can't see why three of the countries most senior judges would make a mistake with a key aspect at the COA.
