I thought he had to go to thistle street for the sea wall.

I have no idea where Thistle St is! All I can find is Thistly Close, which is new.

There is parking at end of thistle street.

The problem is I have no idea what the turning to WHF is.

Cannot find trudis video as it has been taken offline.

The only way to have an idea what left turning he made off The Sea Wall, is to try them. 

There is a left turning which goes in a straight line right to WHF. However that passes one property. But certainly worth checking that one.

If he didn't cycle that he would make one of the earlier turnings.

Thought it might be new. It does look quite new on Google 3D. Assume the properties further down towards The Sea Wall are new as well.

That would make entering The Sea Wall via his back garden easier and mean less cycling.

It is quite a long way from The Sea Wall turn off to WHF. At least a mile.

But it's got to be done for over 500k.

The problem for you is you have to be there at night. As you say it was too dark to cycle and people would still be on it.

However you do not know the route.

Only option is to get used to it during the day.

This looks like one of the paths I took. We were parked in the Chequers car park! Of course, there's access for cars down Fish St because there are houses -not all have off road parking- but the only place to park a vehicle, other than on the road, would be the playing field. It's possible that they put a barrier up at night, but I'd have thought, in such a small community, unlikely. The next closest footpath is beside the church.

Cycling up a field in darkness is madness.

Even walking up with the bike it's just too much pissing around.

Moat feasible in my view is taking the the car straight there.

Or driving to the top of pages lane and dismounting on the cycle.

In all the places I've accessed it there has been a slope with steps to access the wall. I doubt there to be steps cut in along the whole length of it, only in those areas closest to amenities.

There is definatley a field to cycle over.

Bamber mentions them in his words in a tik tok. So does RB. ( Statements and notes not tik tok )

Both would know the route of course.

Now Bamber wouldn't cycle up a hill in the dark. Where he lived, worked and grew up!
