My view is an out of bed and fully fit June would have had a no nonsense approach. As she took the phone off Sheila a few hours earlier, she would have taken a rifle off her.
She didn't take the phone off her in the manner you are suggesting. Shelia obviously couldn't be bothered to talk anymore
Sheila didn't talk to PB. She just said 'yes' or 'no' for 3 minutes. June took the phone back and said Sheila was going to bed. Meanwhile Bamber was telling Julie Sheila was ready.
But she wasn't rude or abusive, suggesting it was more a case of fatigue than malice.
Exactly my point.We have all got a phonecall at night or at a time when we can't be arsed to talk to someone. And when we do it is simple one word answers ( we are wanting the conversation to end)
Sheila would have just said she didn't want to speak. But was too docile & June had control over her. Resulting in 3 minutes of one word answers. You need to accept things rather than constantly make excuses.
