Any chance these could have been grazes from richochet shotgun pellets

I think Maggie suggested that June may have bumped in to something. However, if that was the case, whatever it was must have had sharp edges to draw blood.

David reasoned that June has dropped blood upon herself, which I did not find very credible due to location and nature of the blood/marks.

As for the silencer. Ann Eaton by her own admission decided in her own mind that JB was guilty by as early as the 8th of August. On the 9th of August she was taken round WHF and shown where Nevil was found. On this occasion she would have seen the jacket hanging up in the kitchen over a part of the mantle that would have made crime scene photos of that spot unlikely. And that is where she alerts the police to the scratch marks the following week after having taken the silencer home with her along with Sheila's bloody underwear and god knows what else.

I think she was showing them the pellet mark at this stage of proceedings.

The mark on the underside of the Aga surround could be where a pellet lodged and it could have been this that AE pointed out to the police, strengthening their thoughts that they were being misled. It is also possible that they moved NB to search for pellets and not just to retrieve the fire debris.

Having possibly found one pellet AE would certainly have carried out a more thorough search given her inquisitive nature and she may have found more. No wonder the police may have brought in a metal detector and did a clean up in the first couple of days. Their kindness may have had an ulterior motive.

It seems a strange place to have a tiny round depression on the underside of the Aga surround.

They probably would not have thought to use the MD on the underside of the Aga surround.

Any chance of a clearer picture? Does BR have any more he can enlarge?

I am still working on the possibility of a shot gun discharge perhaps as part of a struggle with NB or June. If the main region that took the blast was the blue striped jacket it would still leave the possibility of some pellets striking the Aga surround and the lampshade, the latter protecting the bulb

Where is the blue striped jacket.
