Please remove the Days of Wrongful Imprisonment banner
« on: July 24, 2011, 03:18:PM »
This is supposed to be a fair and open forum to discuss the Bamber case.
All views are supposed to be entertained and valid as long as they are presented with respect to each other.

The 'Wrongful Imprisonment' daily counter does not even reflect the majority of views of forum voters. The forum poll had less than 50% who believe Bamber definitley or probably innocent!

In the interest of fairness this counter should be removed!

PB - It is correct that this is a fair an open forum for discussion of the Jeremy Bamber case by anyone with an interest in it, whatever their views.  However the forum's owner and Administrator is Mike Tesko and as you are aware he has for many years been a loyal supporter of Jeremy Bamber and he set up this forum in order to publicise the issues surrounding the case and to bring to the attention of those interested the key points.  It is therefore essentially a pro - Bamber site, albeit one that permits all points of view to be aired.  In order to ensure fair play Mike has appointed moderators, including one of the two Global Moderators, who hold firmly anti - Bamber views. There is no need in my view for the banner to be removed, and such a decision would be one for Mike Tesko alone to make.

This site is owned by, Mike Tesko, a supporter of Jeremy Bamber. You have no right to demand that Mike must remove a banner from his site simply because you dislike it. I believe Mike will pay no attention to your demand and I urge him to ignore it. You have such a nerve, having been here for just a few months you are trying to dictate to Mike how he should run his site. If you dislike this site, please go and start one of your own which suits you better. As far as I'm concerned, you are in serious danger of outstaying your welcome here.

No PB. This is not an open forum. It is a pro Bamber forum where the owner of the forum, who pays for the server and its upkeep has decided to allow folk from the other side of the argument to take part and give their views. That is the reason we are fair. If you go to the facebook guilty page and ask them to remove the banner which states that Jeremy Bamber is guilty as charged, they would soon tell you to get lost. As it is this "pro Bamber" forum tolerates people such as yourself who believe him to be guilty. We are a lot fairer than other websites who say Bamber is guilty. I would never dream of asking Mike the owner of the forum and who pays all the bills to take down a banner which states what he firmly believes. What is not fair is you asking for its removal, not the other way round.

Yea, this is Mike Tesko´s forum, he can do with it as he pleases. And by the way, I am not too keen on your nick "Poor Bambi", in my opinion, it is quite disrespectful to her, I wish you would have chosen, "Poor Sheila" instead. But hey, it is your nick, you can do with it as you please.
Why don´t you open your own forum? You can put up a counter with so and so many days of rightful imprisonment. Don´t mess with Mike´s board!

the poll isn't exactly accurate anyway because you can vote as many times as you like.

i voted guilty when i first came on here then i voted not sure.

so its not exactly an accurate poll.

and you have remember peoples views change

Ok fair enough. I obviously disagree with what the banner says but so be it .... if Mike Tesco agrees it's a not a fair representation of the forum's views he will remove it.

ChoCho the topic post subject matter says 'PLEASE' remove the banner! That is requesting not demanding as you said twice. Get it right hun!

And as for 'Poor Bambi' being an offensive forum name; Sheila used that  nicname for herself .... it's a term of endearment and I find it ridiculous to call my use of it disrespectful.

No one on the forum in the last few weeks has defended Sheila's good name like I have against the most appalling accussations that she murdered her own children and parents! To call me disrespectful to her memory is pretty frigging ironic!

But again I am not that bothered. Grahame do I need to change my nickname?
Don't s'pose 'Bamber=Murderer' would be allowed? ;-)

It matters not one iota if it is or isnt a fair representation of the forums views.
It is Mike T's view
It is Mike T's forum
And THAT is all that matters!

How's about:
'Rightful Imprisonment but will be changed to Wrongful Imprisonment if we ever manage to overturn all the courts' verdicts'.

(This one is called a suggestion ChoCho ... don't call it a demand!)

No PB It's your choice if you want to keep your name. But concerning the banner. It isn't supposed to be a fair representation of the forum. It is what Mike believes and it is his forum. It doesn't trouble me. But trying to change the mechanics of the way the forum does. How Mike chooses to display the forum is entirely up to him. If folk don't like it, then there's nothing to stop them from not partaking in discussions.

It doesn't matter what any of us think about the banner. It's Mike's forum. It's his banner. It's his choice to put it there. It's beyond discussion or our decision.
