But they were innocent and justice was done eventually. Bamber is guilty, it's been proven. His had all his appeals and failed. RIP Bamber!

Do you know what I think we should set up a topic and and put all the posts from John, Sandy, Horseydave, Gerald, Poor Bambi  etc and then we can print them off and send a copy off to JB s trial judge and the appeal court judges to show the calibre of people who support the decisions they made

They would be so proud

Too right Jackie, that made me laugh!

But there have been so many judges, Jacks.  Just where would you begin?
So many judges but only one verdict!

A mistake was my off the cuff guess .... I will look at ya logs page (didn't know ya set it up for me!! Awwww) and I will get back to you; I will even go thru it with you sometime.

One question ..... hasn't all this log 'evidence' been put befoe the CCRC and already rejected? Bamber has had more appeals than Dickie Bird on every aspect of his case and sentence so it's hard to follow which is which!
Howzattttt?

Would this by any chance be the same CCRC with the famous powers of evidence retrieval attributed to it?  Do you need the CCRC to make your own mind up for you?

PB, i have not been a member long but i do take issue with some of what you are saying, as i type this im looking at the reply Jeremy sent me when i 1st wrote to him dated  12/02/11 and i for one look at the top of the forum and always think of actually what wrongful imprisonment means and i do have some idea of what it means , and as to Sheila not been looked on in the right light thats not fair to say, i have a few views about Sheila , but these views perhaps at some time i will chat about pb is not a un i would have used, when i finish In search of the rainbows end by Colin Caffell perhaps i will have learned a little more about thse 2 families, and as to the CRCC quite frankly i find them useless.

the point im trying to make is when the birgham 6 and the guilford 4 where still in jail people said exactly the same things about them as there saying about jermy bamber well they were convicted by a jury and some appeal court judges upheld there conviction so they must be guilty.

nugnug, I agree. People fall in to the trap of making assumptions.  Lets apply the same logic that PB is using, to child abuse within the catholic church.  This went on for years and was known and was notified through the proper channels to the appropriate hierarchy within that organisation.  But what was done about it?  Virtually nothing other than moving a few priests here and there in the wake of local scandals.  For years and years this happened.

So does that mean that the abuse in question never really happened?  By way of the fact that virtually nothing of substance was done about it by the authorities who knew of it?

This may be a good moment to mention a quote from Lord Denning when he was Lord Chief Justice :-

"It is better an innocent man serves a life sentence than the law is seen to be making grave errors."

I find that truly chilling ...
