Personally, I think Mr J threatened to charge her as an accessory 'unless' she became a witness for the prosecution and it all started from there.

Agreed.  She was probably told about the 'conclusive evidence' by way of the silencer and Bob's your f_____ uncle!

What's the score with SJ?  Wilkes makes ref to him having a daughter - apparently her pal was going gaga over JB @ trial.  So I assume SJ was straight?  Any whiff of cash exchanging hands?  Career advancement?  Extra-marital relationship(s)?  Why was SJ so anti JB?

Just supping an ale aptly entitled 'Legover'  :'( ;) ;D. Brewed by Daleside.

I don't think SJ liked Jeremy from the off. Good looking young man about to inherit  a small fortune while he toiled away on the force. I don't think it would have taken too much to convince him that Jeremy was the perpetrator and if he managed to bring a conviction, it would be the making of his career.

I guess even a nun is entitled to a Legover once in a while!!  ;)

Morning tyler the whole Trial was a total shambles and the Jury were certainly misled.  Wonder what the 10 members who voted "guilty" think about their decision today bet many realise they were duped :(

Morning N/N Nuns are not supposed to engage in activities that involves Legover hope you were not wearing your ankle weights ;D ;D ;D  I suspect SJ had a low self esteem and saw the Bamber case as a means to impress his superiors and advance his career.

Morning Susan,,SJ was a common bully and poor Jeremy was a pushover because he wasn't the ordinary aggressive yob who'd have given SJ a hard time. It was an easy conviction.

Morning Lookout

;D ;D ;D. I don't drink cider.  I tried some when I was a teenager/early 20's but I didn't like it.  I probably found it too sweet.  It's very popular right now especially with young people.

The Leg Over was a new addition to the pub.  Just Googled it and noticed that it's preceded by 'Old' ie Old Leg Over  :( :'(. Nice beer.  Brewed in Yorkshire.  As I only drink halves I only had half an old leg over  :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(. Might go back this eve and have a pint so I can get my leg right over   :P :P :P

Morning Susan

The ankle weights help keep me grounded  ;) ;) ;). Using light weights is ok for resistance.  They tone and help prevent osteoporosis, brittle bones etc  :) :) :).

Does anyone know if any members of EP had personal friendships with any member(s) of JB's extended family?  I'm aware of the Carr connection.  AE states in her wit stat that she had not allowed herself to get emotional and had not cried but when faced with ? felt she wanted to.  I think the ? from memory was one of the Carrs?  How did this friendship develop?  Were there others?

Hi NN,,it was said that a few were " entertained " by way of supper at WHF,,and" presents" were dished out ( for services rendered ) as well as a job for one who'd retired from the service,,but I must find out if there was any sort of friendship prior to the tragedy.
Another puzzle. Why was the trial held at Chelmsford ( locally ) and not London at one of the Courts.?
