At least KS's football team are doing well.

I find all this constant challenging the leader of the elected party intensely irritating.  KS has a mandate for 5 years.  Unless he is found guilty of some serious crime and/or he is mentally/physically unable to continue then his leadership should not be challenged imo.  The party need to rally round him not stab him in the back!  If he is replaced the successor will face the same issues.
He doesn't stand for anything. https://www.facebook.com/61556442032357/videos/youd-be-very-unwise-to-believe-a-word-that-keir-starmer-ever-saysa-prophetic-war/762921459746385/

Raynor seems to be turning against Starmer. Saying it was a mistake not letting Burnham become an MP. Not giving herself much chance of getting back in the cabinet if Starmer stays

Not a mistake by Starmer. No reason to let Burnham in just to challenge him.

Burnham has not been in parliament for years & has never been in government. He couldn't beat Corbyn when he was an MP. Not sure why people are so keen on him.

Maybe people are bored of Kier. He has been Labour leader for 6 years & PM for 2.

He was Health Minister under Blair and Brown. In my opinion it's now damage limitation for Labour and he's their best chance for 2029.

Madness.  Labour has another 3 years.  Give the guy a break.  If its fortunes don't change then bring in a new leader some 12 months before the next GE.  Who is to say WS or AB will be an improvement and/or don't have skeletons in the cupboard!?

If a new leader is required then how about:

Politics is dynamic!

Easy for a right wing journo to criticise from his armchair.

I think the U-turn on the winter fuel allowance was wrong.  All benefits need to be means tested.  Handing out fuel allowances to pensioners who are financially 'comfortable' is unfair to the young already burdened by student debt, high house prices/rent and struggling to get a pension built up.

FFS.  I have BBC news on in the background and the journos are going wild.  Two wars on which could escalate horribly.  The bond markets becoming unstable pushing up borrowing costs for the government's mountain of debt and the best we have is all this going on.   >:(

The two things Starmer kept saying after becoming PM was '22 billion pound black hole' & 'it will take 10 years after 14  years of the Tories'.

Whether people agree or not, he was hopeing to follow Thatcher & Blair & be PM for at least a decade. But different times & things move quicker.

I am utterly appalled by what is going on.

KS won the GE with a whopping landslide less than 2 years ago.

My guess is that if KS is replaced within a few months the successor will find themself in the same position.  Of course all of this wil be music to Reform's ears  :(

They get paid peanuts compared with a CEO of a med - large company and with far less stress and hassle.

True, but they then go on to get book deals, newspaper income and world lecture tours.

Andy Burnham to contest Makerfield, in Greater Manchester. https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2026/may/14/labour-mp-to-stand-down-to-allow-burnham-run-for-byelection-amid-leadership-row

2024 result: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/election/2024/uk/constituencies/E14001350

He has nice eyes so I will probably vote for him if he's the next leader:

https://www.manchester.ac.uk/about/news/andy-burnham-awarded-for-his-leadership-after-terror-attack/

I would not vote for Nige as find him and his shiny blue suits unattractive.

I would not vote for Zack Polanski as I would be worried about what might be lurking between his teeth.

I thought this constantly changing leaders was a recent thing but it seems not:

See the 'duration' column.

This week figures showed growth up and inflation down.  Is this just a fluke and/or a bit of luck or are the policies of KS and RR working?

I think KS should be given another couple of years and if there's no continual improvement in everything then time to consider a change.

We are living beyond our means as a country, and have been so doing for decades now.
