I suspect that you may be right on the connection with Ali.  I am convinced that there are some powerful injuction in force gringo, because otherwise there would be more reported in the press.

Just had a look and found this,

https://members.parliament.uk/member/3482/registeredinterests

Category 3: Land and property
Property in London N1 from which rental income is received

    N1 postcode covers Islington

It isn't feasible that the suspects connection to Starmer and the property in Islington has anything to do with Starmer residing there in the 90's. Unless, maybe, it is the same property that Lord Alli currently receives "rental income" from. Perhaps there is a rental dispute  ;)

I think "rent" probably plays some significant part of this story!

I assume security services would be well aware of any secret life of Starmer.

Have you ever wondered about similarities with Tony Blair? The Charles Lynton thing?  Two prime ministers to the right of the labour party, both being 'allowed' to govern in the absence of preferred Tory administrations. Both groomed for that very scenario and both compromised?
Funny you should mention it, Roch. Lord Alli was appointed by Blair and a quick look into his political activity since then reveals his main political interest seems to be lowering the age of consent for same sex relationships and the promotion of LGBT in all public life

https://www.voicesandvisibility.org.uk/index/timeline/waheed-alli/#page-content

"He was determined to make gay rights the centre of his work in the Lords. He supported equalising the age of consent for homosexuals, from 18 to 16. That made it  equal to heterosexuals. It was during the debate that he became the first peer ever to speak openly in the House of Lords about being gay. He was a leader in the campaign to repeal Section 28."

From Wiki, "In 2006, he participated in the International Conference on LGBT Human Rights adopting the Declaration of Montreal"

     Declaration of Montreal below;

https://www.declarationofmontreal.org/DeclarationofMontreal.pdf

To make clear, I do not believe that gay men should be discrimated against, but simply note Lord Alli seems to have an unhealthy interest in the age of consent for young men. The Declaration of Montreal that he signed and participated in also displays the same interest.

I haven't watched it but he represents the worst of politics. A sociopath who relishes playing by foul means to progress himself and his master's rise. He was portrayed quite well by Spitting Image, as was Boris. He massively spat his dummy out when BJ was forced to sacrifice him. He then embarked on an entertaining but rather pathetic spectacle of sniping from the sidelines, against the regime he had been at the heart of. People like this just shouldn't be anywhere near positions of political power.

The only good thing he did was introduce southerners to Barnard Castle and Teesdale.

Absolute spot on Roch, a bit like Julie Mugford willing to grass when JB ditched her.

Starmer sealed his fate when he back-stabbed Corbyn, compliantly ran with the imposed anti-semitism bullshit, and purged the left. Have you ever seen Macbeth? Although Starmer is hardly like John Finch. More like Peter Sallis.

A pity the Palestinians want a one-state solution.

I read the IMF is calling for tax rises, the end of the triple lock and charging for the NHS. No wonder Rachel Reeves was driven to tears.
