The watch in Question, 'Existed' and 'still exists'....

But, what 'Julie Mugford', did not know/or realise, was that 'the watch, was a fake', it wasn't the real deal. 'Infact', the watch could be purchased very cheaply, anywhere, where 'Jeremy' visited..

I have the watch...

I remember years ago saying that the watch was probably a fake one.
I bought one myself while in Oz, at a market. On the face of it it looks like a Rolex and has the crown symbol on its dial----but is not stamped on the case or inside and probably made in China by the millions. It cost me AUD$149, which was quite pricey for a fake. The set-back is that nobody here will repair it if it goes wrong----the winder came off it a few years ago so along with its fools gold and artificial diamonds it's only fit for the bin.
I wore it through customs.

I did let a genuine Rolex slip through my fingers about a month ago  :( Silly me ! A charity site online were selling a bunch of used/ broken, not-working watches and looking closer one was an old Rolex, well stamped on the back with its serial number. The bid started and remained at £5 for a week and I just sat back ! at a second to go before the end of the bid it went to £15 before I had time to increase my bid and it was gone. £15 for a Rolex !!

none of this is evidence against bamber in the matter at hand anyway. Its not even " character blackening" it amounts to hearsay and not established facts

I have the watch...

'Jeremy' gave me 'the rolex' as 'a gesture of goodwill' for the work I had done on his behalf whilst I was a serving prisoner, on the same wing as him, (his cell was next to mine), it was given to me, during one of the many visits we had, in 'my capacity of acting as his McKensie man' - after I was released from custody on bail pending  my appeal against convictions [ 10 burglaries, including the burglary at the home of 'Mrs Athi'] and sentences [totalling 52 years] imposed against/upon me at Sheffield Crown Court, in 'September 1988' (I was released from custody in 'July, 1990')...

Here are some images, of 'the watch in question'..

That is/what 'Julie Mugford' told police, not what 'Jeremy' had told her' - a typical example, of how 'Julie Mugford' twisted what she had been told..

He never told me, but he did say that its existence when he received it, was/is connected to/with what 'Julie Mugford' told police, and his relationship with 'Bret Collins' from around the time they met, and became friends...

The model/make, serial no. etc, would/will prove its history - 'if' Jeremy' would like it back, he only 'has to ask'..

Maybe you can sell it & donate the proceeds to the Campaign Team, Mike.

Thanks Adam.  It's this kind of input that the Forum needs.  One for the CT.  I'm still sulking because you didn't recommend me to the CT or my ground-breaking Crispy theory.

Looks like Brett Collins got the watches mixed up, he mentions Cartier watches as well?

Of course, 'it's called misiformation', but 'Jeremy' told me, there was/is 'an association', between the existence of the fake Rolex watch, and his 'partnership/friendship' with/involving ' Brett'...

Im not doubting what Bamber told you Mike, I completely believe you, what I’m saying and you’ve pointed out (Misinformation) he might be giving out false or inaccurate information with the intention to deceive you or others?
