I have always tried to look at the case from both sides and it has just been suggested that the reason Julie went to Identifybthe twins and did not take her opportunity to warn the police , when she knew that jeremy had planned to kill them was she was in shock and confused . So if we are to have a fair discussion I think we have to accept that if jeremy was innocent the same should apply . I am sure the contents of the phone call and the implications would have gradually sunk in , plus him trying to recall everything that had happened the previous evening .
Just to be fair
Jan, I do try and look at it from both sides, but, it was either Jeremy or Sheila, we have Jeremy to question and answer but we don’t have Sheila or her statement I’m afraid.
He is battling with two lies I’m afraid and he doesn’t quite know what sounds best, sometimes, they look for reaction to how well it’s received, when he tells his story to two different party’s he will play it to the best it will be received. He knows the 999 call is a problem so he plays the importance or the seriousness of the supposed call down a little to the police, it gives him a little wriggle room. Yet he wants to beef the story up a little with the people who know Sheila and her capabilities, he does it several times and it’s small changes to people who he thinks won’t get questioned or know what he’s told the police.
I’ve seen first hand guilty people do this, it’s to win support and sympathy. The contradictions in his statements are on purpose and not by mistake.
