Jan I was involved with a hospital negligence situation once. years ago basically we were on a family holiday, we took one of my daughters friends with us and she contracted meningitis. I don't want to go into details but once we were home the girls parents asked us (me and another member of the group who was a nurse and came to the hospitals with me) to write down everything that had happened and the sequence of events as it was going to take years to sort.
The really weird thing was she remembered a couple of things so differently to me , I would have stood up in a court of law and sworn that what I remembered was what happened but then when I heard how she remembered things I started questioning myself. I didn't argue the point with her because I ended up believing what she said had happened was correct.
the thing is I was in shock, I was stressed when all this was happening and to this day I cannot be certain that it was me or her that was correct. memory is not always as jane says that your remember details , this was a life and death situation and the consequences have been tragic but it is easy to say you remember when really its so difficult.
