What random burglar?  ??? I think you have misunderstood.

I think JB massacred his family, I just don't see how staging a suicide for Sheila could be guaranteed,  I think the opportunity presented itself.

So who would have done the massacre and why ? The only explanation would be a burgler. A mad one to.

Jeremy would be even more of a suspect in this situation.

Lookout, I'm afraid to say that it is almost certain that she did, known to her in her state of mind, as "THE DEVIL"...

Well there isn't much direct evidence when there is only two suspects, what makes you think there would be more with an infinite number of suspects?  :-\

Sheila's accomplice was known to her as, "THE DEVIL", whoever he was...

To my knowlege, there was only one adult male who Sheila believed to be the devil, and that was "Freddie Emani"...

Freddie Emani, the devil in Sheila's mind...

Good point.

One option for Jeremy was to massacre everyone. Then go home & let someone else discover the bodies in the morning.

Quite why someone other than Jeremy would break into WHF & massacre everyone, no one would know. However there is no circumstantial evidence against Jeremy, mysterious phone calls etc.

With Julies testimony the case may still go to court. However the defence could bring up every mad criminal not in jail on the night. Creating some reasonable doubt.

The problem here is if Jeremy was due on the farm first. Putting him at the scene. If he always met or worked with Neville first thing in the morning. People would ask why he did not go looking for him.

I agree, nugs. You've only to look at the way they were carried out. There was no indication whatsoever that anything unforeseen was going to happen.
The only thing we didn't know,, was what was on Sheilas' mind at the time,,in between her moods of elation that day.
