I am thinking that Ainsley was involved from early on in the investigation,,,but I'll have to refer to my encyclopaedia of notes. I've forgotten exactly how and what part he took but if I remember rightly,,he added more fuel to the case against Jeremy.This was the chap who,after retiring,went to work for DB as a security advisor at the caravan park.( ironic,or what ?. )
DC Ainsley headed the second part of the investigation into the deaths.
I think Ainsley took over from DC Jones after a complaint was made by the family. I might stand corrected on this of course!
It was Ainsley that pushed the Sheila's handswabs, having been told that the swabs would be positive anyway, due to the fact that she was in a room where they had been gun fire... Miraculously, they came back negative. How did that work out? I find it very difficult to believe the story surrounding the handswabs....
