Interested in your views. There seems to be a general malaise around the case these days. That's how I feel. Haven't watched either episode.

You say there is a general malaise around the case these days? In what way exactly?

Bamber said he did some work with AE at the caravan site. AE was paid £700.00, he was paid nothing.

That motivated him to rob the caravan site. Although he testified he did it to show poor security.

Phillip says the police claim Bamber phoned Chelmsford police twice within 10 minutes of each other. One of them pretending to be Nevill.

The police then tried to find a way where he could get back to WHF within 10 minutes. But couldn't.

First I have heard of that. The police narrative has always been West & Bonnet filled out different forms.

Very optimistic to claim Nevill would also phone a police station over 20 miles away.

The CCRC has dismissed Nevill's call.

Said the 2002 COA referral was on the basis it was more likely the blood in the silencer was June/Nevill's.

Thought it was DNA.

At least they are not saying it is rabbits blood.

Think when TV channels are short of ideas they say 'lets make a doc on WHF'.

Always plenty of minor players prepared to give interviews.

I tend to agree.

Having met JB, studied the case in detail in so which having an interest in it. We all know the basics, whos who etc et al.

Only a pro Jeremy why he should be at the COA style documentary via the CT or whoever would interest me.

Bamber said the kitchen window handle could be banged into the 8 O'Clock position.

That would be sufficient to make it look shut from inside.

What do members think about the two part documentary?  I watched both episodes today online.
A bit pointless really, ngb! Unless youv'e never heard of the case before.
Not nearly enough detail, just the personal views of a few journalists and a psychologist, nothing worth discussing really, is there?
Always interesting to hear a few words from JB himself though.

At least they are not saying it is rabbits blood.

The basis of the 2002 COA refers was, if the DNA evidence did in fact prove that it wasn't Sheila's blood, the conclusion was it was a mixture of June and Nevill's. At the trial and the various appeals, the defence position was that the silencer was used and the blood inside was a mixture of the parents.

Rabbit's blood and other bizarre theories came later on in the 2000s.

Phillip is saying Nevill called Chelmsford Police at 3.26am.

Bamber was not told this & the relatives were not told this when they approached Taff.

Phillip is saying the police decided it was Bamber pretending to be Nevill at 3.26am at WHF. But the police cannot say how he got back to GH in 10 minutes to phone Chelmsford Police again at 3.36am.

The simple explanation is West filled out a form from Bamber's call. Then Bonnet filled out a form from West's call.

Phillip believes the police are using this narrative as a last resort.

The fact is that both made calls at 03.26 approx. NB dialled 999 and was speaking to Bonnett. JB Phoned Witham and was auto transferred to West at 03.26 as he recorded in his first statement. This was because the CA07 crew were out on a drive round. The clocks at Chelmsford HQ and the Police Station were not synchronised. This can be seen by the log evidence which shows them many times logging the same messages at different times. JB received his dads call at 03.10 approx. and phoned JM at 03.15.

Later all the call times were manipulated to change JB's Call to 03.36 and his call to JM at 03.30. Read my post about the false impossible timeline created and this can be seen in the evidence given to the COLP enquiry.

The HQ clock was at least 2 minutes behind of West' clock. This raised some confusion in communications with two Mr Bambers making different calls to different recipients about the same incedent.

Vauxhall Astra.

Walking & driving would take too long.

RB said there would be good light on Bamber's cycle route?

Just being June and Nevill's blood would still mean Sheila put the silencer on and then put it away.

She would only put the silencer on if everyone was sleeping in bed & she was attempting a silent massacre.

However both sides agree Nevill would not start phoning Bamber's AM or Chelmsford police after him and June had been shot 9 times.

There is no reason why she would go to the trouble of putting the silencer back in it's box downstairs prior to shooting herself.

It being human blood is very damaging. Sheila's blood confirms guilt.
