Not a good start. Sheila Caffell was 28 when she died.

New material?

Maybe Guest29835 has passed on the evidence he says he has seen which shows he is innocent.

Bit strange that he won't post it. On his own forum.

It's not his doc.
And I don't think there will ever be one for widespread TV distribution.

The synopsis by the programme makers doesn't sound promising and nor do their previous "offerings" for anyone expecting a balanced  investigative type documentary. I hope to be wrong but am expecting the usual, inexplicably popular, true crime/murder porn type offering. From the synopsis of the makers linked earlier by Curiosity,

"We are delighted to be continuing our successful production partnership with Channel 4 on another compelling piece of true crime television. We focused on speaking with those who witnessed these crimes unfold first-hand, from investigators to journalists. This is a deep retrospective on a dark chapter in Essex history.”

The makers call it "true crime television" rather than a documentary or an investigation. The previous output of "Peninsula Television" doesn't fill me with confidence that this will be a serious documentary.

https://peninsulatelevision.com/true-crime/

Britain's Countryside Killers, Britain's Hotel Murders, Butchers of LA, A Perfect Scam, The Murderous Scissor Sisters, Murder at the Motel, Murdered (The Baby on the Beach), Confessions of a Crime Boss.
That is the first eight in their previous output of "true crime" television. It gets no better. I don't expect a serious offering from them but hope, probably against all reason, to be wrong.

"...Relatives handed police a moderator they said they had found in the farmhouse..."

Does anyone serious dispute that they did in fact find a moderator in the farmhouse !!??

It is probably the most disputed evidence in the case. We have only their word that relatives found a sound moderator in the farmhouse. This question could have possibly been resolved in 2012 when the defence sent an expert to view the negatives. Unfortunately Essex Police had "inexplicably" tampered with the negatives, cutting up previously whole strips and removing negatives that showed the gun cupboard on 7th August. Discussed in thread below,

https://jeremybamberforum.co.uk/index.php/topic,9559.30.html

Why would Essex Police do this? They shouldn't be tampering or curating the evidence at all. It is difficult to come to any other conclusion than the removed negatives would have removed doubt. Essex Police interfered to prevent this.

Is this documentary the usual kind of thing recollections of people still alive, i.e BW, bews, PC west etc or is it being told from the CTs recollection with philip and Yvonne in it and even voice recordings from Jeremy himself?

Just my opinion, but i don't think Jeremy will ever get the public exposure in his case to become a talking point example of his continued imprisonment to be a scandal. He has as we know gained a detractor base where lots of people believe him to be gulity.

The first part did not tell me much new. Except that Bews & Mayall were discussing that Bamber had done it as they drove away from WHF.

Destroying items soon after the massacre must have been ordered by Taff. Bamber said himself on the 7th August he wanted all bloodstained items destroyed. Except for valuable items!

The images of WHF at night showed good light.

Think when TV channels are short of ideas they say 'lets make a doc on WHF'.

Always plenty of minor players prepared to give interviews.

Interested in your views. There seems to be a general malaise around the case these days. That's how I feel. Haven't watched either episode.
