Why? For obvious reasons - even now with an explanation given, people are still trying to make something of it. Had they not explained it Bamber would have made much of it at trial. The explanation was enough for his defense at the time or they would have made more of it.
That doesn't really deal with my points - which is fine because I don't always deal with yours tbf.
Regarding this reasoning we see used on here, whereby deficiencies in Bamber's team are used to argue that 'this or that' aspect is irrelevant. Whether adequate or not, Bamber's defence team were discharging their professional duties after the fact. They played no part in the incident and their actions or lack of them have no bearing on what actually took place at White House Farm.
I reiterate that there cannot be a 'suicide' at WHF before 7.45, unless police at the scene have located the body of Sheila Caffell downstairs. We keep hearing how Jeremy Bamber 'set the scene'. Whether he set the scene or accurately reported the information he was privy to - in either case - the outcome is the same. The police surround the farmhouse and deal with the situation as one of a siege involving a specific person, fitting a specific description of sex, age and appearance, who is believed to be armed and a danger to the other inhabitants. Furthermore, none of the other inhabitants (who are all potential hostages or victims) can be labelled as potential suicide victims by police.
Even if Nevill's corpse was sighted through the window and mistakenly designated as female - on what grounds does that mistaken corpse fit the description of Sheila? Has Jeremy informed police that Sheila is 6'4, wears pyjamas and has grey hair?
Furthermore, if the error in recording occurred as it is being claimed - why do the logs not read 'found upon entry' 'one dead
female and one dead male'?
It's the wrong way round. The explanation for the error has been crudely adapted and therefore doesn't match the actual contemporaneous recording.
