Hi Mike
I understand that we have:
(A) - Anshuzt rifle, .22 semi-automatic rifle (Bambers)
(B) - Parker Hale Silencer (belonging to Bamber rifle)
(C) - Bruno rifle , .22 bolt action rifle (Pargeters)
(D) - Parker Hale Silencer (belonging to Pargeter rifle)
Is A B and D compatible?
Is C B and D compatible?
I know, you know where this is leading...

Yes, the silencer has a universal thread that allows it to be screwed into any .22 calibre weapon, such as the (A), Anshuzt rifle, (C), the Bruno rifle, and (X), the .22 BSA air rifle!

Mike,
If the moderator needed the coupling as per image below (please see text, red lines), this could be 'the Holy Grail'.

Is A B and D compatible? IF ANSWER 'NO'
Is C B and D compatible? IF ANSWER 'NO'
Due to a 'coupling' /adapter required then the Police can't say ''there was only one rifle''.

To make matters easier (B) and (D) are identical models. They will both work with the same guns

Thanks David,
But are the ends (muzzels) of the rifles different, the threads?, on
(A) - Anshuzt rifle, and
(C) - Bruno rifle
therefore requiring the 'coupling'/ 'muzzel adapter' mentioned in image above

There might have needed to be a HP coupling AC286 device fitted onto the end of the BSA .22 Air Rifle at the scene, although I seem to remember that Jeremy said his BSA Air rifle never had a silencer attached to his model...

thanks Mike,
I guess where you say 'But in 1992, COLP arranged for a ballistic expert, to carry out tests involving the coupling of the silencer, ' you meant thread of the silencer
in this thread

The threads are the same.
