I would like to thank Patti for the help she has given as forum moderator. She has performed the job very well in difficult circumstances. Unfortunately Patti's work commitments are heavy at present so she has asked to be relieved of her forum responsibilities, for the time being at least. Patti will be remaining as a member of the forum. I know all members will wish Patti the best of luck at work and at home.
I am pleased to announce that Caroline and April1 have both agreed to serve as new forum moderators. I am grateful to them and I am sure you will all give them your full support.
Finally, I wish to thank Roch for his tireless support on the forum. He has contributed a great deal and has always backed me in decisions which at times have been very difficult. As recognition of this I am pleased to announce that Mike has agreed to the promotion of Roch to Administrator.

Sorry to see you go Patti but appreciate you have a really busy life working full time and being a Mum. Thanks for your support in the past Patti when things were really difficult for me. Glad youre staying and hope you can enjoy the forum again. Love maggiexx

Thanks Maggie. I'll certainly be toning down some of my more 'aggressive' tendencies. Neil rarely becomes involved in open disputes and that's the correct way to go about things.

Well UI don't know Roch, I haven't noticed you being aggressive at all. I know you've been accused of it but I've seen some aggression in action on this forum and there's no comparison. imo
I've had some daft disagreements on the open forum with two or three long term members recently and on at least one occasion I was definitely in the wrong. But cheers for your support.

And congrats Roch, don't worry about any disagreements you've had with people, I think as long as you're not setting out to cause uproar with someone, then disagreements are fine, and I've never seen you purposefully attack a member, you usually attack a post and not the member which is right.

I have today received an unpleasant and threatening message from a member of the forum. This was the first message I had received from this member although I understand that the member had contacted other mods/admin and other forum members. The member specifically complained that I had removed one of the posts made by the member. I had removed this post as part of the removal of pages of posts on a specific thread. There was no bias in relation to the posts deleted, I tried to identify those which broke forum rules.
There is no problem whatsoever in a member challenging by PM a decision made by a moderator or administrator. However, such a challenge should be made in a courteous way and should certainly never contain threats. Realising that the member today may have written the message to me in anger I responded by PM, explaining why the message was unacceptable and stating that I would await the member's response before deciding what action to take. Despite the member being online when I sent the message I have received no response. The member has therefore received a permanent ban.

I did beat it to hell and back and followed the recipe to the latter....No its not risen that much, i forgot the baking powder.....but it should still rise...I have no problems with me pudding, they lift me gas hob up....lol :) :) :)

As you all know the Forum was hacked on Friday evening, as a result of which it crashed. Come to think of it Lugg I think I saw something too...and I looked at it..then whoosh! This is the time BT told me that I had unusual activity on my account...Honestly I am not making this up...I tell you something, I hope I hope the toerag/s that hacked this forum get his/her cummupence. They must think they have the right to enter our forum hack it and try to destroy it. If I was admin on here I would delete all the accounts not being used for a start....because those that are genuine will apply for another. I also think that anyone applying for an account should hand over there phone number and be rang up to confirm their details...I'm not sure if this can be done, but its worth being more stringent to save this from happening again.... ;D ;D ;D ;D

Goodness me,,this is the first time I've read about what really happened.
It probably ties in with my Trojans,,yes,two of the blighters which knocked my laptop sideways. However,after having gone through the re-registry,etc,I managed to get it back to normal on Sunday. I also have a good virus protector which isolated the Trojans,as well as having let me know they were there. Where they came from,,I don't know,but I hope that's the end of them.
I had visions of hurtling out buying another laptop,but was determined not to be beaten by a couple of bugs.
Thankyou to Caroline and Neil for both your efforts in getting us all back together again. It's very much appreciated.

I can't see who are hidden Hartley. Not sure if they show up as guests when you look online and see what is being read. However, you can guess who is hidden by looking at the members list and see when they were last active. :)

It is dated 8 April 2012, entitled 'Poppymeze her lies and Propaganda', in which Jackie Preece cites PoppyMeze as a 'liar and a troublemaker'.
The post is defamatory, has caused stress and potential damage to her reputation and as such comes under the legal category of libel.

By posting this message on the open forum rather than reporting the post to the mod team you have in fact drawn attention to the message, on a thread which ended nearly three years ago. If you objected to this post I am surprised that you did not complain earlier.
I have reviewed the post and the thread as a whole. I do not accept that it is libellous, but in response to your complaint I have edited the title of the thread and the wording of the initial post to remove the key comment complained about. You may wish to remove your post as it repeats the words to which you have objected. If you do that I will also remove this post.
