Does Colin mention JM in his book?

I really need to get myself a copy  :-\
Yes but the conversation remains private to this day.

Nobody is excusing it.

You excuse it all the time

1) she was young
2) she was in love

When will the penny drop and you realise she made the whole lot up and again for financial gain
Julie Mugford the main prosecution witness was guilty of numerous crimes, 13 separate cheque frauds, robbery, and drug dealing and also making a deal with a national newspaper before trial that if she could convince a jury her ex boyfriend was guilty of five murders she would receive £25,000

It was appalling, whatever her situation that was appalling.  I hope Colin told her exactly what he thought.  Yes she was young but she was no shrinking violet,  she chose to stay with JB and support him. She either lied to Colin and so many others or she lied to the court
Nothing to be proud of there and inexcusable.

I am still yet to hear of a single plausible coincidence theory to explain the overwhelming factual discrepancies in Julies evidence.

If you cant put-forward a plausible coincidence theory, then you have no choice but the accept the only logical conclusion - She lied!

When did she lie to Colin?

When did she lie to Colin?
She 'lied' by pretending JB was innocent, staying with him at Colin's flat after the deaths.  If she knew Jeremy Bamber was guilty at that time which aparrently she did then she was highly devious and lied by her actions. How can you not find her action appalling?  Colin had lost his two beloved boys, JB and JM go to stay with him no doubt supposedly to support and comfort him. If JB is guilty JM knowingly chose to play along with Bamber and deceive Colin. in my book that's living a lie and amoral.

Living a lie yes. Who killed the boys?

That's a different argument. Either JB is innocent and she lied to the court or he was guilty and she deceived Colin in a most cruel way.

A guilty Jeremy does not negate the discrepancies in her testimony. If Jeremy is guilty she still lied to the court.

OK  not in anyway trying to protect JM, she was guilty of criminal activity in any event and was far from naïve.

Compare JM's "diary" with that of what RWB had written along with SJ's musings. Little of what JM wrote was in her own words !
EP also presented/altered/edited statements which had been comparable to each others.

Had the court known of JM's motive at the trial ( guilty verdict ) then the case would definitely have turned on its head. Does everyone agree ?? If not there's something radically wrong with your train of thought.
Had the relatives been aware of this " little arrangement ?". £25,000 for her, half a million for them !! Not bad for a days work.

JM an actress in the making !! Falling about in floods of tears when questioned by the defence------so much so that they gave up on her. Yet perfectly composed when it came to the prosecution.!!
Anyone who KNOWS that they're being truthful does NOT break down !! Tears are Lies !

It was a worse scenario than the " coughing " fraud in " Who wants to be a Millionaire ".

Much has been said about JB having known that his sister had been/was unwell and so had blamed her-------------but he HADN'T known as the only person who HAD known about Sheila was Colin himself who'd had little to say about their years together. This is evident in all police reports where it's " all about Jeremy !"

Maybe Sheila's behaviour had led Colin to near breaking point,as it certainly would if you spent 24/7 with her and that he'd been so drained towards the end that words wouldn't come to describe his situation and therefore blocking himself off. He could have had a breakdown of sorts and had been left in a vulnerable situation with his sons gone along with the woman he once loved and probably knew inside that it was she who'd put an end to everyone that out of love and loyalty to Sheila he'd preferred to follow the route that it had been her brother. He'd had nothing more to lose at that stage but would have known that Sheila had been unpredictable.
