"taf" jones

Taff Jones was the senior officer leading the investigation into the WHF murders and was satisfied that it was murder/suicide.
There are no notes or anything on here from Taff.
Could it be that he saw Sheila on the bed before any staging of the crime scene.
It seems that Taff and Stan Jones were at loggerheads about the case and maybe Stan was being more
sympathetic to the family.
Taff must have made notes but where are they?

Wasn't there talk about his notes having been found in the attic of his home ? Then suddenly vanishing ?

Never heard that Lookout but find it odd that his views were not heard.

There seemed to have been a cloak of secrecy surrounding Taff's notes on where they ended up. The poor chap was silenced alright with his untimely death. It was also said that his wife always believed JB to have been innocent.

He was out of his depth, one of the many individuals promoted beyond their station ostensibly because he could work as a team, which can euphemistically mean he draws the salary of a Detective Chief Inspector whilst a subordinate does the work.

He may have realized faced with mounting pressure from colleagues that he had made a mistake, but was one of those breed of men who refuse to acknowledge they have made a mistake. He compounded his error when allowing the White House Farm crime scene to be trampled on underfoot by dozens of police trainees and otherwise, reaping the whirlwind when ACC Simpson took over in October.

Notwithstanding I'm very sorry about the fatal accident. I'm sure the impending trial was preying on his mind and the evidence and justification he would be required to give.

It doesn't exactly fill you with confidence if a lawman with 30+ years and 10 commendations under his belt was " out of his depth " . I very much doubt that was the case.
