Although Paragraph 21 of the Dickinson report makes clear that Sheila was in the habit of physically attacking Colin.

No it says "occasionally striking her husband." I know you think we're all inferior here but really, you could get your facts right.

Hmm. But the word THEY used was "occasionally". "Habit" is leaning more towards regular frequency. I believe that Colin has confirmed that they were both capable of sometimes allowing their arguments to get physical, so I guess those occasional attacks were reciprocal.

What in your opinion is the difference between striking someone and attacking someone ?

It is exactly the same in my book ...

Let's put it another way - Sometimes Sheila used to physically hit Colin ...

As sometimes Colin would physically hit Sheila.

How many people are killed as a result of domestic situations be it male or female ? Thousands of men are bullied by their partners. It could be the tip of the iceberg as men are less likely to speak about or report such situations---------and not forgetting the children who get whipped up into these horrendous situations.
The anger and threatening behaviour of many is rife ! Even on the road when you encounter the insane rage of others,it's disgusting !

What passes as normal in YOUR world, is FAR from it in others' worlds. I could counter your sweeping claim by saying "normal" people don't use filet steak to create a casserole. Try listening to people. You might be amazed by what constitutes "normal".

No wonder we have so many of the population with mental health issues. There are those in urgent need of anger management and most importantly those on the receiving end of others anger and unless either situations are dealt with you naturally have a worsening situation with both.

It's a more stressful world now, than it has (ever?) previously been. The expectations on us are huge and there seems to have sprung up a sense of entitlement which often isn't accompanied by a determination to work hard -personally, I'm inclined to blame governments of both colours for making it more profitable to stay at home than go to work- often accruing huge debt in the process, which might be assuaged by substance/alcohol abuse/gambling which in turn will fuel anger. Of course, there ARE those who struggle against the odds -is it not said that we're all only three pay days away from poverty?- and it really doesn't matter what strata of society it is, ALL can be touched by it. I can only liken this 'disease' to a volcano which has been threatening to erupt for many years.....................impossible to cap.

Good God !! How and what I eat is totally irrelevant when speaking of normal. Thank the Lord I don't listen to people when they're all like you  ::)

Violence in any household is a recipe for disaster if not imminently certainly for years to come and a definite effect on children-----not how you cook bloody steak !! What a mentality  scary. So the likes of you would throw a wobbly just because a certain cut of meat wasn't cooked as it should be ? How sad !!

I'm perfectly certain you're intelligent to know that steak and how it's cooked isn't the issue.
