Page 15. There was a phone which could be used for a last number redial.

It was out for repair on the massacre night.

Can you provide a source for that?

(I am kidding  ;D)
;D ;D. Actually, it's in one of the books so maybe not the most reliable, can't remember it may be Wilkes, not sure.  I shall go and sit on the naughty step for a while and maybe it will come to me. :'( ;D

66.

There were normally four telephones at White House Farm (although there was only one telephone line). A cream old-fashioned finger-dial telephone kept in the main bedroom (the bedroom telephone), a blue digital telephone in the first floor office (the office telephone), a cream cordless telephone kept in the kitchen but used around and outside the house (the cordless telephone) and a fawn digital telephone also kept in the kitchen (the kitchen telephone).

The only telephone with a memory recall feature was the cordless telephone but this had been faulty and was collected for repair on the morning of 5 August 1985.

                                           ----------------

That answers this thread question.

I'm pretty sure the phone in the office which was in situ and in working order had a last number memory but I cannot produce a source at the moment  I may be able to find it tomorrow depends what book it's in.

Julie's WS saying there was a phone with a last number redial facility is correct. The COA confirms this.

It was amazingly claimed yesterday that Julie read this is the newspapers. The day after the massacre.

Even though Bamber was not a suspect & the phone wasn't even at WHF on the massacre night.

Save some room on the step, I've had a couple of beers.  :))

I don't need a source, I'm happy to take your word.  :)

A source is needed I am afraid.

Otherwise Nugs will be all over Maggies post using it as a source.  Asking why the police didn't check the office phone.

The COA says only one phone had a last number redial facility. That phone had been taken for repair before the massacre.

I think the police used the office phone which is why the last recorded number was to the police station. I will see if I can find it tomorrow, when I have time

Yes nugs, thinking now it may be in Lomax's book, quite a few pages, can't remember the names of who phoned who from WHF to the police station in the morning and it was probably from the office phone. Sorry to be so vague, haven't got the book to hand.
